  • I'm looking at having my Candy White vRS Estate done shortly.  I think I'm going for the 3M metallic black vinyl, with some clear stuff on the top of the rear bumper.

Very nice I think it really suits the car. Still waiting for mine to arrive some time in May i hope?  Really glad I ordered Meteor grey

very nice.  Has anyone done a black roof on an estate? would love to know whether people think that's a good idea, specifically on a red estate...

I like the gloss black roof on the Race Blue car.  As my car is metallic black perhaps I should have a Race Blue wrap on the roof!

One of the press cars that came to Romania was a Meteor Grey hatch with the Black Pack and blacked out roof and rear spoiler. I think it looked better with the rear spoiler in black too. ;)

Cost involved if you don't mind?

What is the impact to the paintwork underneath should you ever remove the wrap? Thought about this myself and think it looks great :)

Material wise, 2m worth. I got at cost price £42 and the wrap was fitted for a bottle ;)

Zero, protects it if anything. Heat it up to peel off

Looks great

Looks good! Anyone had the roof wrap done on an estate?

What's the approximate cost for this?

Very nice - added to list of wants if SWIMBO will allow.

Mines an estate, will be nice with the black rails!

Very very nice, indeed!

Any recommended brand?

Ooh fab, can't wait to see how that looks! :)

Do it!

I've always wanted a guinea pig!

I've put pictures on here of my candy white estate with pano roof. Should give you a rough idea what the car will look like with a black roof.

It's beautiful in my opinion and just the right thing to break up the wall of white.

looks really great.....I am thinking of having the whole car wrapped in a luna grey with a gloss black roof ....not sure what to do with my silver roof rails

Might well protect the paint. I would be a bit worried about the uv on the rest of the paint. Might you not end up with a paint mismatch when you peel it off.

Yeah had thought that. Still tempted to do it though as I'd only do the roof and it'd be white so probably quite hard to tell - well I hope so anyway :) just need to find someone that'll do a good job and not too pricey. Oh, and need to by an octavia first too! Lol

Even more tempted to get my candy white vRS estate roof wrapped in black when it arrives in 4 weeks after seeing this...

Hopefully someone else will do it first to tempt me (mk4gti I'm looking at you) :P
