Traded my Citigo Sport in Yesterday (28/03/14) after 9 months of ownership, as I needed something a tad bigger 

 

I was torn between a Yeti, and a Superb, and couldn't decide which to go for, but then I saw this car online at DM Keith in Leeds and finally knew what I wanted.

 

It was exactly what I was after, so off we went for a test drive and the deal was done.

 

First time I had driven the DSG and instantly fell in love with it, and I had always said if I ever had a big car I want an auto

 

Turning 40 in a few weeks, so fancied some lazy comfort

 

Anyway, about the car...

The previous owner was actually Mrs Keith (DM Keith's wife!)

 

Ashley Rhodes the salesman was great with us, and got us down to a good price, with a fair trade in for the Citigo.

The car was serviced by them earlier in the week, and I have 2 more services paid for, and it will be getting 2 new rear tyres when the dealership get them in as we agreed they were too low.

 

Also got dent insurance as well, to cover any car park dinks for peace of mind

 

 

Was a bit dark when I got home yesterday, so didn't really get chance to take a pic, apart from this one (parked outside my mothers house)

 

 

 

First impressions are just its sheer quality, feels very special and the ride is so smooth. The DSG box changes gear in the blink of an eye and makes for one hell of a comfy ride.

Plenty of go, should the need arise (but I have been reliably informed that a trip to Shark, will make it so much better)

 

 

Got up today, and had a proper look around the car.

 

Overall, very tidy, but just a few surface scratches and the usual poor washing technique swirl marks. A machine polish will sort that out no problem.

 

What I couldn't stand was the discolouration of the wheel nut covers and the shocking state of the badges!

 

After reading Chan110's Audrey thread, I got the part numbers for all the new style badges (Thanks Wayne ) and set off for the local dealership to get some shiny new replacements.

 

I bought 16 wheel nut covers, 4 locking nut covers, 2 New style badges and 4 New style Alloy centre caps.

 

Should have come to £77 but with Briskoda discount, got it for £65

 

Got home and set about the transformation

Then, I had some Briskoda web address stickers from a previous purchase, so thought it would be rude not to use them

Damo, I had the wheel nuts problem once took a hard plastic scoure to them and they come up as new. Original cause was cheap car washing additives as I have only used quality cleaning liquids to wash the car since.

Nice car and badges as I have had three sets on my car in just under two years from new.

I used liquid Jiff (sorry Cif) with the plastic scourer.

 

Came up a treat 

Looks great in Black, what are you going to do about the steering wheel badge?!

Don't know if its because the 4x4 has different suspension but they both look similar. I've got 19's on at the moment too...

 

his could be higher because it can carry more too?? :P

Looks great in Black, what are you going to do about the steering wheel badge?!

The gel badge overlays Ive used previously, can be placed on top of the existing badge

The one I have is bigger as it was originally to cover a previous Octavia's badge.

 

Might have to be a custom made job (or not bother lol)

Very easy

Just heat them up with a hairdryer, and remove the residue

 

Break the lugs off the back of the new badges, as they are not needed and stick them on

 

Easy

You could always hunt down a fl steering wheel from Superskoda  

Congrats on the new motor - looks great. You've done a ColinD, but in reverse

Thnx for the info Damo, I was surprised to see the same pt no for the Boot & Grill. Must admit, I haven't checked the sizes yet, or to see if they're both flat etc.

I had an Octavia before, which had different sizes and curvature badges.

Both badges for front and rear are the same flat badges.

Least they are for the combi.

Could be just the angle both car and photographer - alongside the picture of Leon's plus the fact that he's on 19s it does look similar.

Had another look, and the arch gap does look just as high as in the pics...

Not too bad but definitely high
