DIY Mapping - MPPS, Who to use?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone has had any experience with blacksmoke , pd-developments (Lee Metcalf) , Hidden-power ?

Both blacksmoke & pd-developments (can do duel map through VCDS switch) look as though they take OEM map 130-165bhp nominally. So I assume the maps have been created and they are applied generically. Which is obviously fine and they are both comparable on cost.

Hidden-power (duel map possibility too) actually tailor you a map dependent on what you want from your original map - clearly this is done remote from vehicle but tuned by looking at VCDS logs. Clearly you are paying for someones time so they are circa double the cost.

Has anyone had a map from any of these companies and then had a dyno run? Or daily running experience (mpg/drive ability etc)?

Thanks!

Nick

Hidden power aka faboka is a member on here and his maps I know are very highly spoken of

+1 for faboka (hidden power). Yet to hear a bad word said about him and he's done loads of maps just from people on here. And yeah, he does the dual maps too :)

Hidden power all the way!

I've got a hidden power dual map too and if I had to sum it up in one word I'd use the word AWESOME. The high torque map transforms it even on normal driving, it makes it so smooth and useable and when you give it some it pulls like a train. I love mine, wouldn't even consider taking mine to anyone else if I bought another one

Another vote for hidden power, Faboka or John in the real world! ;)

The work and time he puts into a map goes beyond excellent service B)

Does anybody know if he maps hybrid turbos?

Does anybody know if he maps hybrid turbos?

Drop him (Faboka) a PM and ask I'm sure he will be happy to answer any questions!

Yeah.

Mines GTB powered and he's mapped mine spot on :)
