was talking to Bossfox about this earlier, while you can strip out all the interior, and cut out panels in the rear, the front has alot of mass ignoring the engine and theres not much you can do about it without alot of £££

Exactly its all either structural or an engine etc might attempt to thin the bonnet and bumper out etc buy that's all I can see really!

CF or FG Body panels ;)

Battery relocation and removing the aircon seem to be the only real way of removing weight from the front.

Lightweight bonnet could be an option. Perspex??

Its poverty spec so no air con and battery will be in the boot! Its just a matter of lightweight panels! I've already got some perspex to cut for it :)

How would fantasy green panels help?

I guess you can do the engine simplification too. Might only remove a kilo or 2

What like? I'm Interested

On the Alfa V6's they tend to swap out the Intake plenum (it then has 6 intake tubes coming away to each respective cylinder head intake port) with Carbon Fibre ones, more for improving intake flow rather then weight.

They are half the weight.

They are half the weight.

I'll look into this weight saving in the engine bay! I might try and move washer fluid to the back of car and maybe even brake fluid if I'm brave!

I just think you lose a bit of the shock value when people can't work out what it is. :)
