Are you going to fit an fia roll cage?

If you cut out too much crash protection you may have an issue if you want to race it, never mind if you crash it.

I know although IMO I'd rather it just got nicked! Then someone else would have to put up with the hell that is driving and living with it and I get money :)

surely 1.2 Clio engines are 10 a penny with all the 2.0L 172 cup engines swaps ive seen, there should be a few spare kicking about?

Yeah I should've just got that copart Fabia lol lot less hassle!

I'd lose the spare wheel well and weld on a thin flat floor.

Even if you are relocating the battery it's a fair amount of metal removed.

Still nothing happened! Started to detail a corsa today once I'd finished changing the Clio engine! Tomorrow I will get something done in the evening! Anyway to keep you lot happy with pictures here's a 50/50 shot from the corsa! fbe72498db22aecb7b81f91914869464.jpg

I think I'm going to be a Guineau pig and try out a set of coil overs from PB Brakes as they seem a reasonable price :)

Awesome let us know how you get on. They do adjustable top mounts too for camber adjustment

Yeah I saw! This will probably happen during the final reassembly stages :)

Well I took a punt on PB with an all round big brake kit and couldn't be happier.

I'm still debating whether I go for LCR Brembos or PB kit it all depends on how much power I want to finish with! It will probably be a PB Kit I guess as that gives me more potential!

I don't like the Brembos because they seriously limit your rim choice.

Unless you like spacers.

Thank you that is a very good point especially as the whole purpose of this car will be for track use! As I know that obviously you can get a fair bit of vibration with the larger spacers at speed which I do not want! Looks like I'll be putting funds by for a PB Brakes set! I might as well spend the money once and do it properly :)

Yes my LCR say don't do it LOL. I'm still working out how to get them fitted.... see when I put the spiders back on the Octavia and can send an LM up to Vagbremtechnic.

Just looking at what can be removed at the front end! Not much at all!

I have to run spacers with my big brake kit. Both sets of wheels are only 7j though.

I might try 15mm spacers for the rear though.

I read the other day that pb coilovers are the same as d2

was talking to Bossfox about this earlier, while you can strip out all the interior, and cut out panels in the rear, the front has alot of mass ignoring the engine and theres not much you can do about it without alot of £££
