the car stared life off as a 1.4 8v with a 156k no mot no tax a blown head and bald tyres which cost me a grand total of a £140 through a friend in the trade, back in july last year. All that mattered was that the shell was in good order as the rest would been thrown in the bin. Since then the car has been on my driveway and been worked on by myself with a little help from some friends in the evenings after work and at the weekends, transforming it into the 275.4 bhp 300 ib/ft and 20 psi of boost sleeper it is today. will post more pictures and details of the work later

Nice

Assume you've bolted on a K04 or a K03S hybrid for that?

I'm going to need to up the mongrel a little more to keep ahead of these petrol turbo fabias coming through :D

Sounds good.

But more info/pics needed.

Shame you only posted up when it was finished as I like following the progress of projects like this.

I hope your ready to be bombarded with questions about how you went about doing it XD

Looks good, as said its a shame we couldnt see the project through its stages. But none the less looks good :)

K04-023 and was mapped by Shark Performance its a brilliant map and very happy with it. I have a shed load of pictures that i will put up in order of things being done. Its more of a last minute thing tbh several people have asked if ther was a thread, never done one before so here it goes. I will list full spec at lunch.

My main concern was interfacing the engine to the dash/electrics.

Did you get that sorted and keep the stock dash working?

believe me though having a entire loom which spans the front of the drive and more was a slight reality check, sat on the boot of the fab head in hands thinking wtf have i done, quick brew and carried on.

Nice work.

I've got a Fabia and a similar age Seat Ibiza FR so like you have both cars.

Certainly interesting to hear how you got it working and fair play, that must be a PITA but it works!

That's the main thing.

The Fabia that thinks it's a Octy. :D

Awesome :)

Always wanted a 1.8t Fabia :)

the head lights were an advisory on the last mot because the lenses had began to discolor so polished them back up nice and clear using autoglym  glass polish and 4000 grit wet and dry. all the suspension went on the scrap pile, wishbones grit blasted and painted bright yellow ( just had it in the shed doing nothing) and powerflex bushes were fitted on the front end. everything was replaced top mounts, ball joints etc.
