From Gti Ed35 to Vrs tdi

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have had my Vrs diesel dsg for a few months now. Before that I drove a Golf Gti ed35 for a few months. Thought it might be interesting for you to know the difference.

The Golf is way quicker (no wonder with 235hp), the dsg works a lot better in the golf.

Then the interesting part: The vrs is so much more refined when it comes to road noice, seats are way better, nicer interior, better handling with the pzeros.

Also the standard speakers are a lot better in the vrs.

If only Skoda had a 220+hp diesel :dull:

Not wishing to start yet another discussion... but a tuning box would solve that particular issue.

I've switched form a 2011 Golf GTI to a TSI VRS, The Skoda is a much better car for the money. Bigger, 5 door, more refined, loads more equipment for the same money, much much better stereo (Canton vs Dynaudio) Performance is on a par although you can tell the Skoda is a bigger car, and slightly less nimble, but I'm growing up a bit (37! lol) , so not so worried.

Most likely will be that the Octy has the CR engine as well, as suggested a remap to 'upgrade' .
