Picked up my M135i today- gentlemen get your Kleenex ready for some car porn...

I'm not sure if there should have been an article attached to your Golf link Keith? I still look at Caymans and Boxter 'S' models on various used sites, but just can't see how I could run one affordably (unless it was new). A second-hand Corvette might be possible though :)

Anyhoo a M135 with possibly the MP sports zorst might be all I need, it certainly sounds superb, better than almost any of the current 6 cylinder BMWs even (I suspect the M140 won't sound as good when it arrives, as the M135 series clearly embarrasses BMW in the quality of noise department)

Amanda,

Click on black X on the right hand side of initial page. The R review article then appears ,similar to the M235i

  • Right, this is getting ridiculous now.   I really do feel sorry for Tom, as his thread is being constantly spoilt by off topic arguments.   Can the people involved please no longer post if it is d

  • Ok so here it is, side by side comparison of M-Perf and Stock M135i exhausts. A mate of mine owns the white car, the grey one is mine. :-)

hope you don't mind me posting all this guff in our thread Tom, but I got my car back from the detailers and the result is superb. Super shiny and ultra reflective. The coating has teeny flecks of gr

Ah ha. Yep I'd read that one too. Can't think there are many reviews of M135/235/GolfR/AMG A45/GLA A45 that I haven't read :D

Just counted up and I have 76 links in my CAR folder in my Internet Explorer. I need to get out more

Had an enjoyable meet up with a few of the Cornish M135i contingent this afternoon. Some great driving in convoy and then went Karting.

Nice! Did you win karting?

Nice! Did you win karting?

Sadly didn't win but placed a respectable 3rd out of 10 competitors :-)

I invited a mate of mine who owns a modded V10 M5. He won, much to the dismay/amusement of my fellow M135i owners.

Out local BMW dealer sponsored our meet by donating a prize to the karting winner too :-)

I remember a karting evening with a larg group form work. One of the guys drove a BMW 535 and was a 'handy' driver, who took to karting like a Footballer to a car accident. When we came away from the evening, I was in the 535 and as we left the Karting carpark and entered the main road we were suddenly aware we were fully broadside in a massive power slide :D "Whoops" he said, " I forgot we weren't karting anymore" :D

Yep, getting out of the kart and back into the M135i was an interesting experience. Suddenly felt like I was driving a huge floaty bus lol!

"Bagpuss" came along to the karting too, he's picking up his new M135i tomorrow morning I believe! Don't think he will sleep much tonight.

I've still not heard a definitive date for mine. Trying not to think about it for now. Actually I mostly think about the Voooooodooooo lighting that may or not be fitted to the car :D Bet the car park sounded great with several 135s there at the same time

Seeing more and more of these around where I live... therefore I want one more and more!

I was at some lights waiting to turn right, when a lovely 'Silverly-white' M135i turned off the main road I'm waiting to get onto.

He must have saw more ogling his car from my lowly 320d and decided to boot it past! My days what a sound from that engine and autobox gearbox on the up changes!

Broooooooooooorr....pop...brooooooooorr....pop

One day Alasdair, one day! :-)

Yeah they do sound rather good don't they! I definitely noticed you get more exhaust parp on upshifts with the auto box compared to the manual one I tried out. Tis rather addictive! :-)

Can't wait for summer so I can drive with the windows down abit more. Around town at low speed in sport mode sounds bleddy awesome :-)

One advantage of the 5-door car is the ability to lower the rear windows to hear all those lovely exhaust noises.

Thanks Keith

The cars they show have been around for a short while (those of us waiting for a Facelift model have been doing the usual scouring of the interwebs like mad for pictures of course :D ) but they don't show pictures of a M135, only the orange mock up. The white car is a 125 I think and the styling is slightly different on the M135 :( Still not too long to go now. no doubt I will get mine just in time to see the real M version (M2?) be revealed :D The M135 Is only meant as a M Lite version, like Audi uses the S moniker for quick cars and the RS for really quick cars.

You need the sport zorst :)

Is the 1 series the ugliest hatch on the market or what.  Did the OP mean Ugly Porn? ;)

I take it back...second ugliest after the Toyota IQ.

To me both look like the results of a nasty rear end shunt.

It's a free lease car with free petrol in it and free insurance - who wouldn't drive that deal?

Mind you a lot of the advertised 175 horses appear to have bolted...

and it's not that ugly:

but then that may not be the car you thought it was?

I'd be well into a free car with free fuel, even if it was more fugly than a 1-series haha! ;-)

I was just plodding through YouTube this afternoon and found a a short video showing how to get Fluid temperatures etc on your display. Looks pretty easy. Just a couple of 'press and hold' of the dash buttons and the unlock code of 22 :)

Been told my LCi has come forward and should land at the dealers around the1st of April!! Bugger. That's going to cost me, as I was expecting a couple more PCP payments to be made on my Merc (I'm paying more than the fall in book price per month). Still, it means I can start to run the Mlite in sooner :)

Great news, looking forward to seeing pics!

Me too :D Got a lot of hard work now, trying to shift my current motor. just spoken to MB's North and Midlands head buyer and we are hopefully going to come to a deal. Still going to sting a bit this car coming so quickly :( No MP zorst for me for a while :( Still the standard sounds pretty good :)
