Cheers George. M-performance exhaust is coming off this weekend then will be up for sale separately. It's worth about 400-450 secondhand so didn't want to give it to the dealer.

Will post up some pics of the JCW when I get chance early next week :-)

Don't know if anyone will get much of a deal on my old M135i unfortunately as I rather pulled their pants down on the trade in value (for a change!) as they had to agree to take it in at waaay over book price in order to get me into the mini. Plus they've got to fork out for 4 new tyres on it so there may not be much margin left in it lol. You never know tho! I'll pass on the details once the deal is complete. Will be very interesting to see the sticker price for it.

Maybe Amanda would like it?

Tom.. it would be rude not to have a weekend of thrashing the m135 around, wouldnt it? Enjoy :D

  • Right, this is getting ridiculous now.   I really do feel sorry for Tom, as his thread is being constantly spoilt by off topic arguments.   Can the people involved please no longer post if it is d

  • Ok so here it is, side by side comparison of M-Perf and Stock M135i exhausts. A mate of mine owns the white car, the grey one is mine. :-)

hope you don't mind me posting all this guff in our thread Tom, but I got my car back from the detailers and the result is superb. Super shiny and ultra reflective. The coating has teeny flecks of gr

I already have an MP Exhaust :)

It's funny though, that you needed Kleenex when you got the car (lets not go there) and now need Kleenex as it goes :'(

Waiting for the new thread to start ;)

... and you can take that to the bank   ;)

I've been working away for the last couple of weeks and took the Vitara. Turned out to be a good decision as working and staying around York proved to be a lottery with flooded roads (one crew member wrote off his 3 series in what initially, looked like a puddle!). The Vitara with it's raised height and diesel engine did quite well in muddy and wet bits :) Anyhoo, the best bit was when I got back and took my M135 out. After missing it for 2 weeks and driving around in a car with about 1/3 as much power, boy did it feel fast :D Almost like having a new car again :) Unfortunately this sensation doesn't last, but it was fun while for a short while.

Anyhoo it got me thinking about my number one 'lust' car, the M2 and I have now decided that I want the magazine testers to say it is dull, overpriced and a bit anodyne to drive. Why? because I cant get one :(

Why can't you get one? Get yourself on the list if that's what you want :)

Getting on the list isn't the problem, it's the money :D Need to keep the M135 for a few years as it's on a PCP, although there is a rumour going around that BMW may keep making the M2 until 2020 and it may not be super low numbers either, so there is still hope. it would be easier for me though, if the car was a lemon :D Mind you, the Mustang is mighty tempting too :)

It's not a 'limited edition' just that numbers will be limited because of the manufacturing process, given they'll pick standard 2-series coupe bodyshells off the standard production line, then set to work.

So 400-500 annual units for the UK is expected. While there's no issue going on the list, it'll be 2017 before you see anything. Williams Stockport are only expecting 5 units for 2016 at the moment, although they're still waiting to see how this will change - once deliveries begin and production models are received, April 2016 onwards.

That's ^^ my local dealer and I know the Manager very well (he was the salesman back then, who sold me my first BMW :) ) Demand will be high unless the car is a dud and I can't see that happening, but I do wish BMW would have let the car have it's head and not tried to keep it pegged back behind the M3/4/ I can see why they do this, but still...   :(

I don't think it'll feel pegged back, when you eventually give in and take the demonstrator for a spin :)

XCar posted this up yesterday as well :)

I like the vid, although I have to say, my car sounds better :o Imho the sport zorst really does hit a sweet spot for this engine. Even my TT RS owning colleague reckons it sounds better than his (which also sound fab :) )

I imagine the car will feel like it has a stronger, but not epically so, engine, with a properly sorted suspension and those quite aggressive looks. I love the rear arches :) but if it sounds anything like the M3 It will be a serious disappointment.

How do you find the M Performance exhaust? Got a M135i on order and not sure if i should order an exhaust to go with it.
