How do you find the M Performance exhaust? Got a M135i on order and not sure if i should order an exhaust to go with it.

100% go for it. Best thing I ever added to a car. Put the car into Sport (and manual mode if you have the auto) then enjoy one of the best exhaust notes BMW has to offer. It's much, much nicer than the current M3/4. Buy Toms and you can see a video of how he fitted it too :)

  • Right, this is getting ridiculous now.   I really do feel sorry for Tom, as his thread is being constantly spoilt by off topic arguments.   Can the people involved please no longer post if it is d

  • Ok so here it is, side by side comparison of M-Perf and Stock M135i exhausts. A mate of mine owns the white car, the grey one is mine. :-)

hope you don't mind me posting all this guff in our thread Tom, but I got my car back from the detailers and the result is superb. Super shiny and ultra reflective. The coating has teeny flecks of gr

I don't get my car until March so too soon to buy yours just now :). You got any inside and outside clips of the exhaust?

What spec did you go for??

Not bad :-)

Sounds like when you want to put your foot down it barks at you, but when you just burbled along it was just normal

What spec did you go for??

Auto, metallic paint, professional media pack, Electric folding mirrors, Sun protection glass, Harman Kardon and heated seats :). Managed to get just over £8000 off the list price. Wasn't going to buy the car at first as it was a little over my budget but i seen what discounts were available so had to jump in.

Similar spec to mine. I added the adjustable dampers just for the motorway ride quality, but to be honest I could have lived without them, especially as there are some great options for the standard suspension to be improved, whereas it's harder to tweak the adjustables.

The sound you first hear on warm up isn't a great noise in reality, just a loud burbly farting noise, but after 30 seconds or so, the second pipe opens up and the whole thing settles sown to make the fab 6 cylinder roar :) The MPE not only sound 'harder' in tone, but pops and crackles a lot more too :) It's more like the old M3 in it's 6 cylinder naturally aspirated days

I have changed my mind so many times on whether i should have the adaptive or not. In the end i left it out and as it's leather seats i added the heated seats for the winter time.

Not much off a pre-registered 6months plus, with delivery mileage? M135i

What do you think?

Used Ocean Penryn

I already have a M135i thanks Keith and Tom has sold his. I assume your link is to a used one? Anyhoo I would be looking for a new car of some sort when it comes time to change (finances permitting of course)

Hmmm has already bought a new one too btw

You have got to stop posting spurious links to second-hand cars Keith. We are all capable of finding them as we all use the same sites as you - the BMW site is a bit of a no-brainer if we are honest!!, the only difference is we seem to have more of a life! Honestly, and I really don't mean to be rude, your obsession with the cost of second-hand and discounted cars is ridiculous. Please stop posting links to these cars unless people are requesting them are discussing the price of them with you (I don't read them any more, so I apologise if your link was not to a second-hand car). I'm not trying to fall out with you, but please stop

Edit: I tried your link as I felt guilty and it shows as an ERROR 500

Pre-reg ,delivery mileage pretty much new but out of BMW Compound I guess.

Sorry about upsetting a VIP of the site!

Keith the thread is about the M135, not about bloody second hand cars all the time. I could fill up the alex-e3's Golf R thread with secondhand prices of Golfs, but it would be crazy! If I or Tom or Hmmm wanted a ruddy secondhand car we would have a look for one and I am sure we can do that as well as yourself. In fact as Tom and I have first hand experience of the car, we could probably do it even more successfully. nobody has asked for a price on an M135i, or a link that doesn't work, that in theory goes to display some money numbers that are required to be swapped if you want to go away with a automobile bearing the name of the thread and not getting arrested. I realise you genuinely like looking a secondhand car prices, we all do at some time. But please, at least not in this thread. I'm not trying to fall out with you, VIP or not

As petrol heads, a fantasy garage is a serious pastime and I can see why you fantasise over second hand cars, but like most fantasies, they are best kept private.

I'm sure that Keith will take on board all that's been said and appreciate that even though the links may work 'at that instance in time' and 'on his computer', they invariably don't last and give errors when other people come to view them.

Perhaps a typed summation would be better? Although personally I still would prefer Tom's thread not have them added regularly.

But anybody can use google.

If i wanted a second hand Ferrari.. Ducati or Fiat, whatever,, id look across the usual things.. Ebay, autotrader, manufacturers website and google.

If anybodys got as far as finding Briskoda.. They can find cars for sale online

Nobody needs a user to spam a threads with links they could find themselves...

When i first decided i was going to order the M135i, i was going to get it at around 2 years old but then i seen the discounts which were possible and it just didn't make sense to buy a 'nearly new' car. If seen cars which are 12 months old, 8,000 miles and less options for around the same price as i have paid new!

Even cars which are 2 years old are only about £2,500 cheaper but with paying the extra £2,500 you are getting a brand new car, full 3 year warranty instead of 11 months or so and it's the LCI (facelift) model too.

I'm 6 months in and still I get a sense of excitement when I start my 135 up :) I do recommend you have a look at Cotswolds MPE deal, which I think is still £675 with chrome tips (they normally cost a couple of hundred quid extra!!). There is also a place in Scotland that can do the exhaust even cheaper I believe (I don't know where you live). Anyhoo here is a link to Cotswolds thread on Babybmw, a site which I can recommend as you are getting an M-lite :) I'm Geordie Amanda on there. As I think I mentioned earlier, I drove all the way down there and they fitted it for me for not too much more.

Cotswold BMW MPE exhaust offer

Yeah i've seen the offer on BabyBMW. I messaged them and they can do it for £755 fully fitted. I'm in Edinburgh and the dealership is Harry Fairbairn (a posher Arnold Clark dealership) which are in Kirkcaldy. I think i'm going to leave the exhaust to begin with just so i can experience the exhaust standard and once i've done the 1,200 mile run in i'll probably opt for the exhaust as that's i'll be able to release the beast! haha.

I can get the black grills for £80 delivered from them while Cotsworld are £85. Will speak to my dealership when they give me an update on the car nearer the time and see if they can match it. The car status is still at 1100 and i ordered almost a month ago!
