Are you expecting a reply to that?

Not of any consequence, no ;)

Treated the car to a vacuum clean this afternoon. Also used some Autoglym rubber/vinyl cleaner on the mats and trim - lovely smelling stuff.

Need to pop out tomorrow for some black paint to do the wheel nut covers and the rear brake drums. Might even pop in to the VW garage to order the rear wheel arch liners.

Get me and Hyphons a set of liners too [emoji16][emoji106]

You're both half a country away from me!

Just ordered the carpet for the rear wheel arches.

Where did you order from?

Do they deliver to the UK? Is it cheaper than going to VW?

I hope so! Postage is almost as much as the product itself but VAG don't do them.

If I recall, I live in England so I believe they ship them here..

Made good use of the Citigo's legendary carrying capacity today with a run to the tip; an old bicycle, TV, paint, aerosols etc. Managed without problem (although a relatively small load!).

Popped into Halfords and bought paint for the rear drums and wheel nut covers. Have managed to do the covers but need to pop out for a Briskoda meet at the RAF Waddington WAVE. Will hopefully get the drums done tomorrow.

I've put the wheel nut covers back on and am surprised how much of a difference it has made. I didn't really notice that they were grey before but now they are black the wheels look more 'complete' if that makes sense. Hopefully will get the brake drums done tomorrow and maybe grab a couple of photos while I'm at it. Car is filthy though so maybe not!

Managed to get out early this morning and painted the rear drums. Didn't bother removing them from the car just took the wheels off, cleaned the drums and painted them whilst still on the car - just don't look too closely! Very happy with the results; didn't realise just how rubbish the grey wheel nut covers and drums looked. Much better with them all black. What do you think?

Whilst the rear wheels wheels were off I gave them a proper clean and a coat of Carbon Collective's Platinum Wheel Sealer. Should be good for a couple of years; they certainly feel super smooth.

Much better [emoji106]

Any before pics? I think I will do this on my car. Have you got advice on a good polish or wax for a red car.

Go to my first post on page 1 of this thread; picture 2 clearly shows the grey drums and wheel nut covers. I didn't think that it bothered me that much but now I have changed them to black it looks so much better - what were Skoda thinking?

As for polish, my car came with the Autoglym Lifeshine treatment so I have a bag full of Autoglym products, so I use Autoglym polish and sealant. However, I am hugely lazy so it gets a monthly treatment of Sonax BSD; easy to apply and does a very good job.

Looks fabulous and really red when polished.

Oh no I'm going to have to do mine now [emoji6]

They do look nasty in Grey [emoji57]
