  • Hi, just a quick introduction having been a reader but not a poster on the forum for some time. I'm a Brit living in Germany and finally picked up my red Monte Carlo last week. The pick up was in Muni

  • Boot carpet and boot liner fitted; colour match is spot on too:           I had to trim the boot liner at the edges as I have the variable boot floor fitted, but there were marks on the

  • On the plus side, if she isn't going to ride in it she won't notice if I put coilovers on!

First impressions are very positive although I need to get some miles on her and get the brakes bedded in properly. I have a 250 mile trip on Sunday that I am very much looking forward to. And it managed an indicated 50+mpg on the short journey home that I am immensely impressed with; the Mondeo showed 29mpg for the same journey to the garage, but was probably sulking.

Looking good!

First time I've noticed the grey rear drum brakes, perhaps because of the contrast against the black alloys and tyre dressing.

Think I'd be getting them painted black!

Looks good. Any interior pics?

I agree and painting them is on the 'To do' list.

Not yet; maybe at the weekend.

Run her in a couple of miles and book a session at Blyton. Needs to be done you know it!

Looks great. Enjoy :)

I like the black spoiler, any more close-ups of that?

I got mine on Monday, pleasantly surprised and it actually reminds me of my 106 Rallye.

I fitted front mudflaps this evening. I went to fit the rears but you have to drill holes in the rear wing and I'm not sure about that just yet; has anyone fitted rear mudflaps?

Try the Citigo Technical Guides. Fitting mudflaps is described there.

I also started soundproofing the spare wheel well and boot. Need the variable boot floor before I finish this job and will need some more soundproofing material as well.

Looking forward to when the car is properly run in, as it seems to have a cheeky growl from about 4000rpm, but it's just starting to get on song when I change up.

I feel the need, the need to hit the red line!

Looking great :)

Mines hit the red line on many occasions but after 4K there's no more power just the little 3 pot growl [emoji106]

After 5k the power noticeably drops off whereas I believe the 75bhp versions keeps going. It does sound good though.

Love the interior, very jealous of the gloss dash and dark headlining.

Looks nice

lovely looking car i was torn between ordering a monte carlo or having the black edition from stock i went black in the end

how about painting drum and callipers red ?

Drums will be black; no point highlighting that you have drums.

Calipers red? That might just work and look good against the black wheels.

First road trip today and the little Citigo far exceeded expectations. The task was to take my son and all his worldly possessions to Uni for the first time and the car was fantastic, easily swallowing all the luggage (with the rear seats down) and then coping easily with the motorway and dual carriageways. Unsurprisingly, after dropping my lad and his luggage off the car felt an awful lot more sprightly on the return leg!

PID was showing 52.2mpg when I got home and you don't notice how small the car is when your sat in the driver's seat. So 300 miles in and I'm very impressed.

Just 52.2mpg? Someone is a little heavy on the right foot..

But who can blame us? It's a must need to floor it everywhere as it's a tiny engine :notme:

Ordered the variable boot floor today; should be at the dealer Tuesday morning. I will be soundproofing the boot floor when I fit this so that should cut down the noise from the back quite significantly. Will be looking to get some carpet to do the arches in the boot to provide a bit more soundproofing.

Nice car! Can you tell me about the headliner, is it black in the monte carlo? Maybe you could post a picture of the roof inside? :-)

It's definitely dark, whether it's black or grey I will have to look. Will try and get a picture this afternoon.

Headline is black, will upload a picture when I get back to my laptop.

Citigo did its first B&Q trip this afternoon; 1.8m fence posts? No problem. Plus a few paving slabs and other stuff. Mrs T not convinced by the Citigo, but she drives a fully specced up Fabia Mk 2 vRS so hardly surprising.
