It is a BXE (1.9 TDI) of one of your fellow members who will appear as noise to "metallic bark" at times.

No patron (cold, heat, oil brand, etc) showing that it is. According to what he told me the owner, this noise appears occasionally, and is heard more clearly from inside the Cabin.

No error in vagcom or engine or DSG. At the dealership they could not answer.

Any idea?

Cheers!

Could be something lose. Anything been taken off the car recently

I found on mine that the air intake at the front vibrates. It's quite a common problem.

I must admit it's a much slower noise than the engine tickover.

I had the BXE engine in my previous car, it made all sorts of strange noises, including a snag with the VAC.  Have a look around the internet as the BXE has a history of issues, all of which are denied by the manufacturer!!

I have a 1.9 BXE. No such noise here so nothing normal that's for sure.

If you depress the clutch does it go?

What if you apply electrical load (heated rear window on, headlights on or turning the wheel should do it)?
