A couple of pictures of my gorgeous Python. It is an absolute beast of a ship.

HI Col,

Was looking at this last year, ended up making a pledge to StarCitizen. But I've not got a machine to play it yet, I can load it...but then it begins to get a speed wobble form the fans :D

Wonder if this would be a warm up / excuse to mash an i5 in it :)

What do you reckon an i3 with GTX680's chances are ?

Hmmm I doubt I'd really have the time to make a dent in this but tempting

Some gameplay

Probably pick it up in 6 months for £15.

Looks like it would be epic with an Oculus

I been meaning to look into this. Hoping it brings back the dog fighting that frontier failed on.

Seriously tempted to buy it when released - give me something to do over the holidays.

Lost count of the time I spent playing the original years back.

Should be ok on an I7 with a GTX660TI I think...

It has modest spec requirements... ran fine in full detail on C2Q and a 460GTX.

Hell it was even playable on my I5 laptop with intergrated graphics!

All i can say is... doooo ittt!

wow, the old BBC game I loved in modern format?! I want!

I pre-ordered it ages ago (and used that to justify buying myself an XPS) but haven't really bothered with the Beta so far. I've actually been trying to get a bunch of other games done and dusted so when this goes live it's got my undivided attention. As I said to Col on facebook, I need a new graphics card and year off work.

oddly I rarely game with top gamjes on my PC but I have:

3.3GHz intel i5, 8 gig RAM, and NVIDIA GeForce GT520

hope thats enough!

think I'll have to buy this, loved the old BBC game :)

Thats more than enough - its beefier than my PC!

Hmmm,

I've an i3, 8Gb ram and a ATi 6850HD 1Gb.

Wonder if anyone would notice me pinching the i5 off the desktop at work....

A smart addition to any man-cave but you just know he's sitting on a commode and his mum is upstairs

Wow looks a good game!

The more I look the more likely I am to purchase it!

I'm not doing that again!

I havent got enough years left to play Elite another time.

Feng shui then? Or just the ultimate "man-bog!"

I loved elite many years ago. Many an hour spent smuggling stuff around the galaxy

Me too

10hr+ sessions on a weekend and I used to have school dinners at home so I could squeeze another half hour in

Haven't a PC to run this on but I've always hoped for the original to appear on xbox live

Just a graphics update would do and all those keys could be mapped to the controller.lovely!

Would love to be able to play the newer version, not sure if the laptop would cope and I'd need a controller of some sort.

Ah the memories of tricky manual docking and then getting lazy once you could afford the docking computer. Will it still play blue danube as you dock?

Surely it has to- wouldn't be elite if it didn't!

I think it would be sacrilege if it didn't at least do it the first time.

If you buy the docking computer (which you generally dont need) it will play blue danube :D

Docking's a piece of cake on this, though I'll probably get it if it lets you skip the landing sequence to save time.

The slowest bit is sometimes finding the pad on stations where you dock externally.

Well that is a change to the old one - it was very easy to find yourself crashing and in a heap of bother in the old one.
