Anyone tested or own a Kia pro/cee'd GT?

Ive had a sit in one & EVO magazine runs one as a longtermer,have to say its on the list for my next car,nice looking & the GT tech is very well spec'd.

I can't afford the GT spec, but the standard one looks pretty well spec'd in comparison to my VRS.

I've not owned one but I have driven one and it was nice and enjoyed it. As a first effort from Kia it is a good one. They are well built and well specced. Its not a golf gti by any standards but it is a decent effort!

we've had a Mk1 Cee'd (LS CRDi 113 bhp) from new ('57 plate) and it's been a good car; we've spent nothing on it bar servicing and fuel etc.

I've got a brochure for the Cee'd GT as I like the look of it. Seems a good buy, but I can't afford new cars though and I like my Octavia too much

I am interested in them, had the Kia Optima in the USA and was a decent car, the dealership near my seems pretty good, fairly good reviews!

Even the TTRS comes across abit boring IMO.

Might aswel try another dealers

Anyway.......a 2 seater beckons and I wont be buying a Kia anytime soon

Very nice cars, I very nearly bought one instead of the Beemer!

 

But the fuel consumption is pretty pathetic the cost of running it ruled it out for me. :-(

Think the boot may be a very big (small) issue. Only 45l bigger than a Fabia.

There's a white example here in Scarborough and I reckon it looks really smart.  I don't think it'll set the world on fire in terms of performance but for a mildly warm hatch it would make a nice daily driver.  As chris_1d says it's a good first attempt from Kia so any future offerings should be even better.

Its 210 bhp from its 1.6 turbo engine so id expect its performance to be good,id hope its quicker than my standard octavia vrs.

This months personal shopper article in What Car? magazine gave the reader three choices, a Fiesta ST, Clio Renaultsport and the Kia Pro Ceed.

 

He chose the Kia.

 

My best mate has had a basic petrol five door Ceed from new in 2008. It hasn't missed a beat, not even needed the 7 year warranty.
