VCDS scan shows a fault in the "Instruments" control unit. Details are give below

In some sites it is mentioned as if the fuel lines are flushed (yes it was flushed at 14557km during the 1st service to change fuel filter) then need to provide the basic settings again but no info on how to do it. Experts please help.

I am using 12.12.3.

In the fault details mileage is mentioned as 14557km and it is exactly during this time 1st service was done and fuel filter got replaced, so I am suspecting it is something to do with it.

Replacing a fuel filter should not upset the instrument cluster.

 

I did find this though, but it does not mention the procedure to recalibrate the fuel gauge and on this thread they left the fault present as everything was working.

What happens if you clear the fault - does it come back?

 

You have to go in to the controller and clear the fault from there.

 

Why do people still insist on posting VCDS questions when they are using superseded versions that do not offer full support for the MQB platform?
