Nope, that would be the not-to-be-repeated combination of empty stomach, Coke and Solero Shots. Perhaps if I had given him some SLXII it might have stayed down.

Moving swiftly on..... :D

A question for those who have indicated in this thread that they are/will use fixed servicing intervals: do you/will you use a spec VW 503 00, 506 00 or 506 01 Longlife oil; a multigrade high lubricity oil; or a multigrade oil?

A good question, but a decision I leave to my dealer. I trust that they will put in an oil that meets with Skoda approval such that, should my car develop engine problems, there won't be any warranty issues.

I've just switched from variable to fixed after 12 months and 14,000 miles.

One thing I have noticed since the service is that my fuel consumption has improved by about 10%, before I was averaging 32mpg, now I'm averaging 35mpg.

Not sure how to explain this one, but my journey to work hasn't changed and the traffic has got worse since the summer holidays. Must have been something that changed during the service.

Booked my car in for first service on 14th October , whilst the car is being serviced have organised a test drive in a Fabia vRS .................I don't want the salesman coming with me though ;)
