Yes, a GTI not the R.

OK not quite so impressive, though to out drag the R it would have to be good.

  • You'd have to be a bit daft to think there won't be. Ford has (unlike other car makers) realised that loads of people remap and found a way to influence what people do to their cars. At least by off

  • This is my one, love the little beast.

  • Makes you wonder why so few makers do have an approved remap available. You'd think it would be better for VAG to be involved in a safe remap for it's products that just leave the door open to a mult

You need to stop posting i30N pics now.  I'm starting to regret my decision to switch to order a Superb 280....

Interesting though once I got to the part about heated seats in the auto car review I stopped reading. Clueless journalism, you wouldn't hear Sutters or the Monkey even mention or notice such irrelevant crap.

I wonder if Shark will have a map for the i30-n, which would make it more interesting indeed....assuming the hardware has the potential and the strength.

Another of the big boys scalped :o

Hyundai have got the styling bang on IMO.  The Golf GTI is a little to conservative, understated but bordering on not different enough from the rest of the Golf line up.   The Type R is my guilty pleasure, I think it looks the dogs but it also looks like a regular Civic was covered in Araldite and ram raided halfords.  I like it but I wouldn't have one.

The i30N is Goldilocks, just right.  You can see it's no regular i30 and they've done just enough to make it appear a bit exciting too.  Best thing for me is the Performance Blue paint job.   I think it's now my fave hot hatch colour, previously Liquid Yellow on the Megane.

I need to drive one.

I think I need to own one.

The i30N in colors other then the baby blue are like having the cloak of invisibility, i have been taken like a king by a few now.

One the other day i think was being driven by a Police Officer in convoy with a S90 Volvo, guessing a T8 Hybrid...... 'Visually my car of that day'.

both white, the Volvo was nice as much as i was able to see as i was entering down a slip road and they were at about twice the NSL for the A90.

Totally OT, being a saloon.

The above drag review was a distorted lacking detail by the OTTreviewer

He has corrected that slightly below - still  OTT but I think he was told to produce something of higher quality imo.

Seen my first one on the road this w'end.  Heard it too with a few farts and crackles as it went by.  Such a good looking car and I thoroughly agree with the 'goldilocks' comments in the article (based on looks).

The new TV add is pretty clever too, a nice two finger salute to the established hot hatch marques.  Defo a cult classic in the making.

Car Advice are big BMW m140i fan people ,with a bit of British influence ,so where was that in the hot hatch under 375 bhp test.

Note ! Oz bone dry roads, as shown on this test, maybe undertaking the same test on UK and European roads, with very variable road condition, surfaces and above all  year round weather conditions, then that conclusion would be somewhat different me thinks.
