Debut on 17 February?

The pics above don't seem to show front assist radar and the interior shots of the L&K also has standard cruise control on indicator stalk not adaptive cruise,so looks like they are going to hold back some options again in early models.

The adaptive cruise control "eye" is visible in the video:

Just like on a Mercedes S-class it is that square thing there under the badge with fake grille lines painted on it.

You can clearly see it on this image too:

But I'll grant you, it is very well hidden!

^^^ Good spot, I was looking for it in the lower grille area as on the Octy.

The pics don't do it justice, I'm just watching the live launch and it looks very premium, and has a lot of presence.

According to Autocar, petrol engines WILL be available in the UK, unlike the Passat,

I'm glad the hatch is electric, hope that carried through on production cars. Nice touch and quite practical given the sheer size of it.

As a long time Skoda fan (Mk1 Suberb, Mk2 Octavia vRS, Mk 2 Superb) and company car driver I'm very excited.

My current BMW 520d is up for replacement in November this year so I'm allowed to get quotes and order in July. Us company car drivers "user choosers" are where this car will need to succeed, if they can get the CO2 nice and low (not just on the Eco specials, but the higher powered diesels) and most importantly the lease rates market competitive then they're surely onto a winner.

Roll on summer!

I missed it! Is there a link to watch the video again?

Good video.  Peculiar electric seat controls on the SIDE of the seat above the central armrest... Guess that is for the Taxi version? So that rear seat passenger can move the seat forward and away from them? As surely it can't be easy for the front passenger to reach that area whilst seated? Earlier in the video you see the driver seat side and that does not have that control.

This is for chauffeur driven markets where the boss sits in the back and the driver can easily adjust the front passenger seat to move forwards to create extra knee/leg room and to make the boss happy

Why would you want to drive a hatchback without a rear washwipe? The lack of one is the worst features of my current Superb, albeit understandable 'cos of the way the twin-door has to work.

As for the "hideous asthetics" of a wiper blade, you cannot be serious?

This is exactly why I wouldn't prefer to have a rear wiper on a Superb III. It does spoil the elegant looking car....In fact, Skoda should offer this an option to a customer to 'delete the rear wiper' should they wish to.......

Hatchback cars like A5 sportback, A7 and Tesla S could do without any rear wiper so why not New Superb??

Thanks for posting the pix, but foe me, white is not the colour to buy!

On a car of this size, a nice sober metallic would suit it best, IMVHO.

Because when it rains, it's good to see whats behind you?

It's a car, a very expensive domestic appliance, not a work of art......

Wow I really like the design, very much audi alike and it looks a lot better than the new passat.

The following has got me interested:

- 280bhp Cupra engine, with Haldex 5 4WD

- 190bhp DIEsel engine

- wireless heated windscreen

- speakers in proper places

Noticed that the headlights stay pretty much as they are: halogens on the lower spec, and swivel xenons on upper specs. So no LED headlights at all.

Is somewhere available full info on engines and gearboxes combination? Also Co2 data?
