Pound for £1 i think the Citygo is brilliant. I don't own one but I do drive at least one every week.

  • I'd hate to think how this thread would have started off had your car suffered some significant issues.   Agreed, the brake servo was unlucky.   Heat shields? Strips of tin foil either side of the

  • Ok so we have established that our runts are rubbish, and your i20 made by that great Korean car maker is much more superior.

It's basically horses for courses, I reckon. If you get a good trouble-free car, then you get a good one. If you're "unlucky" (and IT IS down to luck alone)then you get a dog - a bit like women, I suppose, one gets what one pays for. I've had 5 mega-expensive cars, & none of them caused me anything but very minor problems - & they were fixed promptly & without hassle. BUT there was a colossal profit-margin on those cars, whereas the City cars are built to a very strict budget, and therefore one has to expect that there's going to be glitches of one kind or another.

As long as my Skoda does more-or-less what it says on the tin, then I'll settle for zilch road tax: Group 1 insurance, cheap as chips to run, & take whatever rough may be coming my way, with the smooth. I just hope that there's more smooth than roughs.

I just got my Citigo Monte carlo back yesterday after having the doors replaced. Some woman opened her door into the side of me and trashed both doors. Luckily the insurance went my way and I got them done FOC (damn right!) and my garage has been great about it. We have known them for 18 years so that may make a difference but I have no idea really. I've not had any issues with my car and I absolutely love it! Hope your problem gets resolved.
