Thanks..Should knock 10 years off!! LOL

My wife runs one and it is her fourth so she obviously likes them. Me?   Can't stand the things as I have trouble fitting my 6'2" into them whichever side I sit.  Good to drive and fun but not for me.  Is it the six speed or the five speed Chris?  Six speed seem quicker I suppose because the gears are closer.

Looks good in white doesn't it?

Regards Chris

Thanks Chris

Im less than 6' so fitting in it, is no problem

Its 5 speed BTW

Looks rather lovely Chris  B)

I'd have an MX5 at the drop of a hat as I think they're cracking little motors.  However, at 6'4" they're a complete non starter for me for the same reason as the Wright Chris.

It's a right s o d  :dull:

Thats a shame Gaz

Least I dont have that problem .....One advantage of being a 'Short Arse'..LOL

looks nice, should offer trouble free fun!

So will this result in a garage clear out Chris so she'll be inside during the winter or are you getting a hard top? SWMBO always wanted a 2 seater and is threatening to get one when she retires so I'll be interested to know how you get on with it.....don't forget to use the green pump!

No chance getting it in the Garage Ade and a Hard top is ok until I need to put it away for the Summer..so no..I wont be getting one

Im going to research some Soft Top Fabric protector/sealant

Looks very nice dont see many white ones, guy at work has a black one had it a couple of years had no trouble with it at all.

Guess a car port is not on the cards either? I followed a DB9 convertible with the top down on Saturday. It had a Bobby Charlton look a like driving complete with a comb over flying about though you won't have that problem!

My mum and dad have an older mx5 soft-top which they use all year round. They're fantastic little cars to drive, I always try to blag a blast around the twisty/hilly roads when they come to visit.

I haven't seen many in white, the colour suits it. I'm glad you enjoy cleaning cars as this will take a lot to keep it looking clean

Your opening post states your getting a sports car   :notme:

Don't hard top it, winter is best time of year to have the top down! I had my top down more in winter than I did on blistering hot days. You've got AC, for a reason and sunstroke is a killer. Good if you can suss the hood one arm sitting, for when you end up stationary, unless this phat spec has an autohood.

It's a lot of fun in the rain, hood down too and on really cold days if the hood isn't frozen, lovely sub zero driving days around cheshire; delamere forest, commuting to work.

I also wondered why people didn't go on m-ways with the top down... you'll figure that out too :D

Keep your battery topped up, mine mk2.5 had a really small battery and as it was older 4 years when I had it, it was pretty much dead.

The only time it ever spanked me was when I wasn't paying attention, just driving. So track days it was super fun, you're aware of what's going on. I did 180's on motorway roundabouts quite frequently as it clipped some oil or other stuff and I wasn't fully awake. I cannot blame the tyres or LSD, just odd it spun when I didn't care for it to do so and didn't really step out when I was pushing it to do so.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
