Helped a mate prepare his BMW Autovogue edition for some "for sale" pics at the weekend. All in 7 hours effort from start to finish....

Pretty hard graft plus a bit a tuition along the way to help improve his detailing knowledge and routine for his new car due November.

Pictures below from the scenic shots taken afterwards - car sold within 2 days..... he's well chuffed!

Too nice not to share really.... a real pleasure to detail this car [emoji106]

Can you ask him for me please Karl?

As I have polished a couple of 5 series', I would like to know what pads and polishes worked for him

Thanks

Nice reflections..What wax or sealer did you use over it?

Thanks Chris, Poorboys EX-P on top seems to keep it locked in a while.

Good combo

Keep up the good work

Excellent work - the paint looks fantastic!

So does the bike in the reflections.... ;)

If you use a good QD as well you should get more durability from the EX-P

Well - after work yesterday - the BMW got a final wash and wax detail before going to its new home.

One area i had not made time to address was the engine bay.

This was foamed and APC'd then dressed with 303 Protectant spray.

Pics below...

Thanks for the comment Karl - the BMW engine bay is cleaner that the .:R36 too!   :peek:

I don't generally foam the engine bay either; but as it was so neglected - it was required, esp due to lack of time available.

Always been a little bothered about the electrics etc lol!

I always end up just using a bottle of APC & a detailing brush!

That's all I used on my old car, a bucket of soapy water, a stiff paint brush and a MF cloth. Then a couple of jugs or clean water to carefully swill away the soap.

Unfortunately with not having an under-tray because of the hedge it was dirty again, although not as bad, when I checked the oil a week later :(

Did take a couple of hours though, but the results were worth it.
