Awesome, thanks for the heads up buddy.

I'll keep an eye out on FB!

Interesting on the Cora front. Great to know, and at £45, seems like a bargain over Pro Edition! Thanks for the info buddy.

No problem Neil - as you say - definitely keep an eye on FB for updates and offers from those guys.

They have the 4 for 3, and 3 for 2 offers running on non-wax products right now.

As i said before - shame you are not nearer buddy; I'd quite happily lend you Pro and/or Cora for a test.

Show edition..... is superb too; but I think Auto Perfection Intensify would give it a good run for its money.

In fact - I need to catch up with KarlvRS - who was after borrowing Cora for a test

Looks great Ste.  I can only dream of a finish like that on my knackered old paint. :(

Many thanks for your kind comments Andrew.

Don't be daft.... it was the glossy wet look you posted up on the Vectra and Suzuki that inspired me buddy!   ;)

It's amazing what the camera hides Ste.  Next time you see the car, I'll show you some of the battle scars and you'll be horrified at some of the scratches.

Definitely agree with that, mine looks ace from a distance but up close its truly awful.

Totally agree that's where close up sun shots are needed after a detail... Not distance shots.

SWMBO's car still has some awful areas where the kids have done their damage;

but some of the main panels polished up really well and the pictures posted do it justice!

Did my mates Cube the other day. Decontaminated then polished with Menzerna Power Finish on a green Hexlogic Pad and finished with Chemical Guys 50/50.

And got the Superb cleaned this evening. Popped a layer of BSD on to finish and some KKD Tyresol dressing.

Miss my MX-5. They look great!

It rained a bit yesterday so I ran a wash leather over it to get rid of the dust.  Started off with some Auto Smart polish (£10 for 5 litres), then some Collinite 476S wax, followed by a coat of sealer branded AutoKit Proffesional (£10 from ebay).  I used a mix of Methylated Spirits and water on the glass, applied with newspaper.  I used plain water and a paint brush on the wheels.

In the engine bay I used some Autosol metal polish and some Auto Smart rubber dressing.

The interior was vacuum cleaned and furniture polish was used on the plastics.

Very nice indeed

Just washed my car and finished with a spritz of `Aqua Wax` as a drying aid.

Later I want to give it a coat of BSD.

Trouble is, I'm never successful at spraying/jetting...seeming to get it all over the place...including where I've just been!

So, I was wondering about putting the BSD onto the cloth rather than the car.

What do you reckon?

Many thanks

Mike.

Yes that works fine Mike

Have a dry cloth in the other hand a wipe straight off

Pictures?

Thanks for that, Chris.

I'm afraid the system wont allow me to attach pictures. I think it might be to do with the fact that I wasn't able to renew my `Freedom` membership.

Regards

Mike.

Good week for car detailing!!

Nice work Neil

Gave the Superb a quick wash and its final layer of AW Desireable today. We'll see if it makes it through winter!

Incidentally, my desireable separated due to leaving it in my car when it was too hot. Ruined the wax but Angelwax replaced it for me, free of charge. Great customer service!!!

That is good service

The car is looking good

Well done!

Wheels were refurbished yesterday. Sealed and tyre treated:

I've got a sample of AW Desirable to try, wonder if it'll replace Collinite 845 as my winter wax.

A little dusting

Not used 845, but I really like desireable. Just remember to do a panel at a time and leave it on a panel for a couple of minutes. And don't do it in the sun. It's a great wax when you get the application right though buddy.

The car is looking really well Neil - great work my friend.

Nice to know that Angelwax can provide such service.

I'm thinking of some AW Desirable and QED as my next test

Thanks buddy, it's covered in field dust from all the farm traffic now!

I'll be ringing John later to order 5l of fast foam, some QED, Heaven for leather and their new Glide clay block. I really like Angelwax; very reasonably priced and the products tick all the boxes for me.

Looking forward to your test Ste. I was going to get some Clarity QD from AP but then thought I'd give QED a go first, as I'm using desireable over winter on the Superb.

I popped a layer of DJ SNH on the Focus too. That was still amazes me, it's been over 2 years since I've used it on paintwork but it still looks fab.

Definitely interested in AW QED - so many people have good things to say about it.

Good choice for end of summer - as I think AP Clarity is better for summer show n shine,

but not anywhere near as durable as QED from what I have read.

I wish I knew about Angelwax years ago - they are not too far from my old place in Scotland.

I could have been collecting supplies and orders on the way to work at the time!
