(As detailed in my Octavia thread, Wheels cleaned with FallOut Remover, Tyres & Arches cleaned with G101 @ 10-1. Wheels protected with Carlack, Tyres with ArtdeShine and Arches dressed. Engine bay given quick clean, G101 @ 10-1, dressed with AG, plastic with AG, ALL paintwork with Carlack. All shuts, petrol cap etc cleaned G101 @ 10-1, followed with shampoo later. Snow Foam was shampoo. Shampoo was a basic non-gloss, non-wax shampoo. All paintwork - shuts, sills, petrol cap (inside as well) and exterior with Carlack. Topped with ArtdeShine QD. This is not a detail, just a clean.)

I treated my car at the tale end of March to a valet by a local company and I was impressed by the results ... I'm hoping to find the money to get it machine poshed over the summer but she looks good for 9 years old with over 80,000 on the clock.

A mate of mine has just purchased his new suzuki swift sport in pearl white from the dealership I work, anyways he asked me to tidy it up a bit as he wasn't overly impressed with the valet it got when it was picked up, anyways usual foam, 2bm wash, clay towel, autosmart red 7 which I really like worth a try if you haven't yet, a quick Polish using scholl s3 gold xxl and topped off with autosmart topaz which I absolutely love.

That's lovely Sean .

Some great products used too. What does your mate think to it? Been toying with the idea of swapping my Fabia for one.

Hi mate cheers once I had finished I pulled it out into the sun and the pearl in the paint was just something else. He loves the car tbf they are lovely little cars, well equipped all you could ever need, I work for suzuki so I drive them alot the only thing I find is there a little sluggish compared to the fabia, you really have to drive it hard to get anywhere and also most surprising there pretty thirsty for a little 1600. If you do fancy one and and fancy a drive to Essex come see us can sort out a bargain for you.

That's great, thanks mate.

Any scope for more power with exhausts/intake etc?

Surprised they are thirsty. I guess if you have to work them hard to get much pace. You reckon it would be half decent cruising in 6th at motorway speeds for mpg?

Might have to take you up on that offer around august / September when I get back from the US.

Yeah there is room for power but costs big £££. Always turbo/supercharger kits but they £4000+ fitting, mapping etc. Problem is its n/a so expensive. If you wait a little longer I think March next year the swift is becoming turbocharged with 1.4 engine which is used in the new vitara sport now, which is awesome car.

My brother in law has a swift sport only averages around 32 in town and 40-42 motorway.

Finally got chance to give the wife's a good clean.

Steps - rinse then snow foam, clay, snow foam again, polish then seal. Need to get some good wax to put on at some point.

Came up nice, only 500 miles old so didn't take long to clay, paint was pretty smooth already.

My Octavia estate had a quick snow foam as well, will be giving it the clay treatment next week after getting some wax.

Top job there mate. Very nice indeed :)

Gave Piglet a wash yesterday (only fourth wash in eight weeks).

The day was fantastic so gave the wheels some Bilt Hamber Autowheels and a little agitation and rinse. Job done on the wheels.

The body got a pressure rinse along the lower valance and up the rear then snow foamed with Gtechniq Gwash shampoo to soak while I went over it with some Gwash in a bucket. Piglet was then rinsed and then dried using Gtechniq C2v3 and Gtechniq QD (50:50) as a drying aid. She came up beautifully.

As the day was still looking good I went over the head and tail lights, licence plates and wheels with Gyeon Cancoat.

All in all she looks great. Inside just needs a quick wipe down and a vacuum in the footwells but that's pretty much it.

Gave the VRS a quick wash last week but forget to post a quick picture.

1) First sprayed the wheels with Espuma wheel cleaner.

2/ Used Envy snow foam.

3) Carried out a wash using Meguiars ultimate wash n wax.

4) Rinse with pressure/jet wash & dried using a synthetic PVA chamois & microfibre cloth.

5) Used A.P.E wheel wax on the wheels.

6) Seeing that I didn't have much time left as I needed to do other things  :dull: I quickly used Williams waterless wash n wax  :D It's actually not bad stuff (Don't shoot me)  :D I would use it again but always wash the car first, I would never use Williams straight on a dirty vehicle...

Will do a full proper valet outside hopefully very soon  as I've purchased some new products, EZ starter kit 250ml bottles & I've just purchased some Poorboys black-hole, Smartwax premium wax & Smartwax quick detail, along with Dodo juice basics of bling clay bar set, & with all the other stuff I currently have, I think I'm done with buying any more detailing/cleaning stuff (cough..cough) :)

Only took 1 picture as I was in a hurry.

Very nice indeed. The Williams looks like it has done an excellent job there. I know a few people who use it like you do, and it serves them very well!

I got around to giving the Father in laws 1 Series a bit of TLC. washed, full Decon, Auto Finesse Ultra Glaze to mask some swirls, which were aplenty, and Auto Perfection Evolve to protect. I'll let  the photos do the talking!

Absolutely stunning work there Neil - superb results indeed.

How to you find the ArtdeShine coating? Presumably on the alloys as a sealant?

I have a sample of that somewhere but never used it as yet. Oops! :giggle:

Thanks Ste! Appreciate the positive comments.

Yes, I use it on the alloys and windows now. It lasts a good while, about 2-3 months if not longer on the alloys. I tried applying it to the Octavia after a thorough polish and IPA wipedown but it didn't really work at all on the paintwork. But its great on wheels and extremely quick to use, and it is crazily hydrophobic!

No worries matie - always good to see your posts and top drawer detailing duties! :)

That sounds really good - i'll have to dig out that sample from the garage and give it a blast.

Thanks for the info buddy

Thanks pal!

Let us know how you get on. I spray it on to the cloth then quickly spray around the wheel and wipe in until I've done the whole wheel. No need to buff off. Maybe I use a little too much product, but it works for me.

Not been posting much recently due to working hard trying to get SWMBO the car she has always wanted.

Not had time to give it a proper detail yet. It's brand new and not been touched by the dealership as requested. Started on it today but got rained off before I could break the Rupes out so had to just finish in BSD.
