Gave the Monte a good going over before a trip to Waxstock tomorrow. Powermaxed TFR, Bilt Hamber Autofoam, 2BM with Meguiars Gold Class, Auto Finesse Oblitarate and Iron X decon, BMD Adonis Pre-Wax Cleanser and finished off with BMD Sirius Dark. Wheels cleaned with ValetPro Bilberry and Megs APC for tyres and arches. Iron X used then Autobrite Cherry Glaze topped off with Collinite 845. Tyres got 2 coats of Gtechniq T1.

After having most of the afternoon off due to work cancellations I decided having washed the car yesterday to do an interior detail today.

All windows cleaned & polished, all plastics cleaned with APC & Autobrite Interior brush. All gaps and crannies cleaned with EZ detail brush including all vents, behind the flappy paddles & indicator stalks etc. All vacumed out including seats and headlining.

Mats hoovered & cleaned using AG interior shampoo. Leather cleaned with Auto Finesse Hide.

Few marks in the seats taken care of using stiff brush and Autobrite Direct Fab. Been well overdue a clean. Around 2 hours spent. Wasn't overly dirty to look at but when you get down to the nitty gritty it's not as good as it seems!!

Finished article...

New mats will be on order shortly due to these getting a little thin after 2 years of use. Wasn't bad for. £25 from flee bay!

Not bad - 2 years is a decent run on mats - especially on drivers side at least.

If only i could order a drivers only mat from VW....

That new air freshner is pretty pungent too - i wasnt that close to the car yesterday and i could smell it! :giggle:

Been a very good set of mats for the money. I'm going OEM next time though. Only £35 for the set.

Haha it is very strong! I can see it giving me quite the headache!

The .:R36 got some love on Monday night. I had some products to test and the car for the evening....

I was lucky enough to get one of the first test batch waxes from Autovision Detailing.

Intenso wax - is a high gloss, durable, easy on/off wax product..... and gave some stunning results.

Also tried out the new CYR drying towel - which is great - really soaked up the water after a rinse.

Perhaps a little disappointed that on a car this size it was fully saturated before the whole car was done.

Pics of the results... based on this, i gave the go ahead to product some more - very happy with the results

Awesome results there, great depth and clarity!

Topaz is a very nice product to use. Good on Sean for sending you the sample. I was a lucky recipient from Ben and was really happy. Great on trim and easy on/off, leaving decent protection and good water behaviour! Good work Chubb's!!

Thanks! Today's bad weather put the Topaz to the test and although it didn't head as well as BSD for example, the rain and water just glided off the paint and trim on the move, will definitely use this again for ease of use.

Glad you liked it mate as said so easy to use which is a bonus.

First Birthday   treat yesterday.  Had the outside, inside, and engine bay given the works.  As usual, it's the wrong colour for photo's to do it justice.  I simply can't get reflection shots as well as other colours.  Top marks to the Gtechniq Wheel Armour, and the difference once the C2 was topped up was quite startling  B)  Other stuff I remember being used was Auto Finesse, Tardis, Bilberry and Meguiars.  Glass only needed a proper clean with Meguiars as the Gtechniq is still holding up well:

A quick spruce up in North Wales. Yes, I took my polisher with me on holiday!!! Haha. After a thorough clean and clay, she had a going over with Britemax Blackmax followed by two layers of Dodo Juice Supernatural Hybrid Nano. Looks great now.

Thanks Mike. Under the full sun this morning I was pleasantly surprised how few marks were left in the paint. Blackmax did an outstanding job!

Haha. We've been coming here for years and it is somewhere we can give the kids the independence to explore and do jobs for the owners, so it's the perfect place to keep an eye on the kids while giving the car a fettle. Plus I can't just "sit and unwind", so the wife let's me off for a few hours.

Thanks buddy.

Looking great Neil - have a great holiday buddy!!!

Helped a friend from work clean and decontaminate his Land Rover Defender.

Bit of a weekend toy for him and was in need of some TLC....

Some nice detailed mods - with LED lights front and back, under body guards, air intakes etc.

Certainly something a bit different for me!

A fun day and my mate was very pleased with the results.

Thanks for the comment Mark.

I'm the same - never really been interested in the Land Rover scene at all.

But i must admit my mate has done a nice job keeping this one look modern and eye-catching.

He even brought friends.... ended up with 2 of them on the drive by the end of the day! :giggle:

I can almost imagine this being more satisfying to obtain a great finish given all the nooks, crannies and intricate areas - if not done right these areas could easily detract from the overall finish - excellent result!  I recently did a mate's Land Rover TD5 - this was challenging to say the least with the shear size of the thing plus the never ending water exuding from the window rubber surrounds!!!
