Dream scenario is 'The Maniac' (apt nickname these days) is given the boot and Stoner fills in for the rest of the season but it wont happen. Great race/result for Rossi.

Yup, it's even more annoying that really, it's **** all to do with Marquez, he should be riding his own race and letting everyone else crack on with theirs

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else chuckle every time Marc falls off trying to stick with Vale?

  • WOW!!! Absolutely amazing race, and a battle we've all waited to see for so long.   What a brilliant race and a fitting tribute to #39    Lovely to see Valentino and Marc shake hands at last.   I

He has to start from the back of the grid next time.

The problem is, from the back he will be able to aim on all the others........

I don't think it is so easy for Ducati to just get rid of him though as they have to field a rider and Pirro the test rider is taking the place of Loris Baz at the moment so they would struggle to fill the ride for the rest of the season.  I expect he will be suffering some fairly heavy financial penalties in one form or another.

Is it bad that I kind of like Ianone to watch? He's exciting to watch cos you know something is going to happen....does help that I'm a Rossi Fan (who isn't) and he took out Lorenzo who is challenging him for the lead of the championship :notme: Not sure I would want to be on track with him though.....

Sort of likewise, well except that I'm also supporting Maverick!

Thing is Simmocelli was like that in his early days and Marquez certainly was and to some extent still is.  Yes they are exciting to watch but with a sport as dangerous as this you don't really need a loose cannon like that around.  He was doing OK and had been on pole and was the quickest Ducati rider by far but that seems to have been long gone and now for whatever reason he is struggling and taking too many risks.

Having said all of that I am pleased that he took Lorenzoe out as long as he wasn't hurt.  He isn't the most likeable rider in the paddock and every time he opens his big Spanish gob he seems to put his foot in it. Example complaining that he wasn't invited to the 5.30 Friday track safety meeting.  This is a meeting that has been on at that time for years (Colin Edwards knew of it from his day) and none of them need to be invited as they have a divine right to be there.

I am going to be a little bit controversial here.  I cannot see Yamaha letting Lorenzoe win the championship to take the Number one plate to Ducati unless Rossi is nowhere to be seen and has no chance at all of taking the title.  Who knows one of his engines may develop a fault if it gets too close between Rossi and him!
