Yup, it's even more annoying that really, it's **** all to do with Marquez, he should be riding his own race and letting everyone else crack on with theirs

  • Is it just me, or does anyone else chuckle every time Marc falls off trying to stick with Vale?

  • WOW!!! Absolutely amazing race, and a battle we've all waited to see for so long.   What a brilliant race and a fitting tribute to #39    Lovely to see Valentino and Marc shake hands at last.   I

WOW!

OMG!

Amazing stuff. Almost like Prost/Senna

Amazing stuff. Almost like Prost/Senna

And Schumacher/Hill

At first glance it looked to be clear cut, but after watching a slow mo, it was very much half and half (not giving anything away). It's a shame :(

Shame. Don't think Rossi, Marquez or Lorenzo come out of this with great credit.

Undermines a great championship and will have repercussions for next year, even if Rossi retires.

Good ride by Pedrosa though.

No mention of a potential Lorenzo overtake of Rossi under yellows?

I read on piston heads that the yellow was shown by mistake, surely it'd still be a undertake under yellow though no matter what the reason for it? I didnt see the race so cannot comment tbh.

I didn't see it either, but I have seen a picture

The riders wouldn't have known it was a mistake, so should ride to what they see

Even more sad to read that as son as Lorenzo passed Marc, he  dropped right back to Rossi to then hold him up by playing with him :( Not sporting at all IMO

Don't just believe what you read i'd recommend watching because its far from straight forward, lots of provocation from Marquez although i don't think he was helping Lorenzo i just think he rides dangerously,  no doubting his talent though. I have a lot of sympathy for Rossi because he gave Marquez lots of warning. But the actual kick from Rossi was just a step to far and nothing can excuse it. I think Rossi was just thinking if this carry's one or both of us is going to have a crash. Therefore he slowed them both right down so it wasn't high speed and tipped marquez off to prevent a worse high speed incident. Thats my view hope i haven't spoiled it for anyone who has it recorded.

Did he actually kick out though?  Keith Huewen after one of the replays thought that Marquez bumped into Rossi to knock him back and that is when Rossi pushed his knee out to avoid contact.  When I saw that view it looked to me like Marquez turned into Rossi as well.

Having said all that it should never have happened and it was strange that Lorenzo got past without a problem and Marquez never challenged him yet his overtakes on Rossi were hard.

Sad to see it go that way and no one will come out of it smelling of roses.

Yeah one of the camera angles you can clearly see Rossi uses his boot on the front of Marquez bike making it fold under. This in-turn makes it look from the other angle like Marquez leans on Rossi but thats just because his bike has been folded under him by Rossi's Kick. It was intentional but im just glad Rossi slowed them both down to a crawl before he did it or we might be discussing a completely different outcome. Next pre race conference will be interesting thats for sure.

Whats the biggest and best Site for MotoGP fans i would like to read some more views and opinions?

Definitely seems as though Marquez was riding for country, and not Honda, and that shouldn't happen

I've watched it quite a few times now and IMO both riders are at fault. Rossi runs him wide & Marc's helmet makes contact with Vale's slider, then it looks like Vale kicked out causing Marc to tuck the front. Vale claimed his foot slipped the footrest as a result of the contact. Hard to say. Valencia will be interesting to say the least.

Maybe Marquez will take Lorenzo out :)

It's rally bad PR for the championship if Rossi does have to start from the back at a twisty track like Ricardo Tormo.

They both need their heads cracking together minus the helmets. It would be great if we get a bit of rain and Rossi comes all the way through the field like he has done before. Can't see it though I think Lorenzo has this one in the bag now.

As you both say, whether or not a flag was shown by mistake, the riders should respect it because they don't know that it's a mistake. Also, when and whether or not to show a yellow (or white or oil) is normally the decision of the flag marshal at the individual post (unless organising body rules allow the Clark of the Course to call for a full course yellow when all posts must show yellow).

Oil may be directed to be shown at all posts during a parade lap in wet conditions.

Just watched the race!! My giddy aunt, those two seriously hate each other. Vale disappointed me as it looked to me like he was deliberately pushing MM, although I think the knocking off was entirely deliberate. On the other hand I could feel Vale's frustration at MM being so aggressive. To me it looked like MM was chucking the bike up Vale's inside and not caring if he stayed upright, a sort of 'I'm coming through regardless mate, so watch out'. I was staggered at the skills of the two riders however and hope the F1 car boys see what real men with mega talent do on a Sunday afternoon.

Wish Vale hadn't done what he did though :(

Got back from Sepang yesterday. Was awesome with the VR and MM battle...especially right by the Rossi fan club section!

hope the F1 car boys see what real men with mega talent do on a Sunday afternoon.

Havent watched the F1 from the weekend yet then

I have. A lot of incidents, although not too many of them were demonstrating epic skilz imho. MM vs VR was as good a racing 'Battle' as I have ever seen. More exciting than watching Giles Villeneuve I reckon :)
