I think it's fair to say the new Superb is proving quite popular, which is why these delays are occurring.

    Car has arrived @ grimsby

I ordered mine a week before you and I too have an unconfirmed BW 5. My car is very similar to yours, although an SEL Exec, but same engine, same colour and roughly the same options. Looking at # 1362 and 1363 above, wonder if it could be the `petrol` thats holding ours up?

Not heard anything about Petrol Blue other than several cases of car turning up in grey rather than Petrol Blue. Also appears  L&K  are having  delays.

Still getting close now, not long to wait (hopefully) and am looking forward to delivery.

Just had an email from Skoda UK informing me that my car will be built within the next two weeks, which tallies up perfectly with the first week in Feb, as quoted by the dealership.

Just heard that my car arrived in the UK at 11am today. Probably some others of us had motors on that boat...

Hi thewinelake, I remember you posting, on the 15th, that your car had been built and as mine was, allegedly, built on the 11th you have just raised my moral, I looked to see what part of the country you are in but Just UK on your profile, so I'm going to dream that you are in the southern part of the country and your car came into Sheerness.  If so mine may be on the same boat and surprise, surprise it didn't sink on the way across.

I was originally told build week 11 for my SE Business Estate 2.0TDI

Email off my dealer said it's now down as mid February build. Sounds like it's gone forward a month

Just been informed that my car is in stock in the UK and can be delivered from 1st February...getting excited now.

Business Grey 2.0TSI 220 SE-L Estate with Pegasus Wheels, Black Leather and quite a few extras including a towbar. Ordered 1st October, so 17.5 weeks from order to delivery.

Was expecting mine to be built this week but have now been informed that due to shortages (undefined) it has been put back to build week 7 (15/2) :-(

I'm in London, although my dealer is in Newport, Wales! Still pretty south and I think Sheerness sounds very plausible.

Ordered mine 17 October. Told today that it is on its way to the overseas port.

It is an Superb Estate SE L Exec TDI 150 PS DSG, Petrol Blue, Beige leather and Pegasus wheels.

Thanks for that, I'm going to ignore GaSelle and give my dealer a hard time they are in Maidenhead.  At one time in my career I spent 3 years flying between Oslo and Copenhagen and I think that the Scandinavians are the nicest people in the world, we had some fantastic parties but I don't think that i'll ever be as laid back as a Dane (see GaSeelle's post on previous page).  Mind you with the taxes they pay I don't see how they can be so calm.

Capitol Skoda I presume. They have cars that come through East Anglis, cannot spell Lowestoft or perhaps I can as well I believe.

Even if I rang my dealer on a daily basis, I wouldn't get my car any faster. That's why. My S2 is due for a service next week, so will ask for a status when I get there... :)

Car ordered on sept 26th and yesterday I picked it up from the dealers .

1.4ACT SE estate in petrol blue and so far really pleased with the car .....infact it's superb!

The colour is great and suits the car really well. I ordered the panoramic sunroof and this really makes the car special. It's amazing and the kids love it! I will try getting some photos on the site soon.

First impressions. Engine is fine for the size of car. Granted it's no sports car but hey I didnt buy it to corner and handle like one either.

Infact the engine is more responsive than my last car which was a 2litre mazda 6 (great car by the way). Standard suspension is great as well soaking up all the bumps with ease. Fit and finish are great. Need to spend some time checking all the kit and buttons out.

Only niggle are the really cheap factory fitted carpets. They are horrible. Suggest buying others as not worth the £80 I paid .

I'd be keen to see some pictures of the petrol blue 'in the flesh' as it were. I've ordered mine in the same colour. Are you glad you chose it, now you've actually seen it properly?

There are some more luxurious versions of the factory floor mats available.

Dstev2000 - really pleased I chose petrol blue.

Originally ordered same car but in Quartz grey. Granted this is also a nice colour, just felt there are to many grey and silver cars around so changed to petrol blue. Just my opinion but fancied something different and am not disappointed. The sales man did comment on how good it looked and was the only one they had seen so far in petrol blue.

I will get some photos online soon but you won't be disappointed. Have you seen any in the metal at any dealers? Worth a quick phone around local dealers to find one to see.

Good to hear. It was between Petrol blue and Quartz grey. I've done Black magic, silver and now white. Haven't had a blue car for about 15 years and I think that metallic blue compliments the car's lines nicely. I think the Mk3 suits darker colours myself. The car will be on the 19" Phoenix anthracite alloys and will have the beige leather so it should work.

There aren't any Petrol blue cars anywhere local. They are all Business grey it seems!

I've watched loads of YouTube reviews with Petrol blue cars in them plus loads of picture searches too. Obviously this isn't foolproof but i'm pretty confident i've made the right choice.

I ordered my SE L on 28 November it's made ready to ship my skoda dealer rang every 2 weeks They will ring every week know with update  Good service in my book after reading what some people are saying
