Can I ask when you ordered and what alloys you have ordered.  Ordered my L&K TSI 220 with the 18"'s mid November and still sat at unconfirmed build 9, was 8 last week.

Ordered 12th Oct 2015 with Pegasus anthracite alloys

So my new one has arrived at the dealer, have been registered and now just waiting for the dealer to prep then contact me for delivery.

Hi,

Just a thought -- these dealers that dont keep you informed ( mine included it seems ) perhaps if i sent them an Email canceling the order......................

Just a thought but ours is status10 unconfirmed-- had to ring SUK to get that info.

Welcome to ordering an East European vehicle. They really are nice

cars but those from the former peoples republics are not the world's best "people" people and it does seem to rub off on SUK. I don't know why this should be but take heart, after you've been reading these forums for six months (as I have whilst awaiting the delivery of my Superb, roll on 6th Feb) you develope a certain armour plating.

Hmm,-- seems to have rubbed off on a certain dealers staff near Chester as well !

I ordered my SE Business estate directly through dealer on 24th Jan, estimated 20th March. However I've said that I'm not bothered about the colour so the dealership have said that if anything becomes available I'll be offered that....will be interesting to see if it makes much difference! Anyone else dobe it that way?

In all honesty, I'm not that concerned about the amount of time it takes to go from ordering to delivery/handover. It would be awfully nice and polite of the dealerships concerned to actually bother keeping the customers (who ultimately pay their wages!) updated with regard to the status of their car.

This seems to be a problem that Skoda UK still can't get to grips with. In all the years I've been coming here, this crops up all the time.

We've had three new Skodas and each time, there was scant information on the build status or ETA of the car.

I've been quoted a provisional build week 5 for my car. I am overdue the update on this from the dealership so I will no doubt have to chase this next week.

An online status checker would be nice. Failing that, the odd email here and there?

SUK need to hammer their dealer network to ensure they keep customers up to date with the status of their very expensive cars!

Come on Skoda!  Customer........service......

Just picked up my SEL Exec 1.4 DSG Hatch. Order made officially on 8 October. All I can say after a few miles back to my house (as I'm about to get all the lights swapped to LED now) is wow what a motor! And debadge looks great too. Will upload pics post upgrades

Got a call on Thursday to confirm paperwork all progressed (company car so Directors have to sign off etc), and arranged collection for Monday morning.  Just slightly excited :D , also slightly disappointed that I couldn't have picked it up this afternoon, but it was something to do with staff and valeter's availability and the dealer not wanting to rush things and make a mess of the handover.  Not too fussed - waited three and a half months (October 12th Order date), so a couple more days are not a massive issue, but could have had it to play with over the weekend.

Now going to my 'for sale' post for my current car to chop the price...!

Been back and forth between new S-Max and Superb and finally decided to get a new Superb. Wanted panormaic roof, but dealer told me that the order time could be up to 8 months with panoramic roof, so decided to leave that. Has anybody else been told that?

We have ordered a pano roof & while theirs delays due to a shortage/ high demand not been told by dealer of a wait that long , mind not been told ANYTHING by the dealer.............

I just went into dealer to check on my status (they are only 2 minutes up the road so easy to keep tabs!). No build date as yet but I queried the long lead times that have been mentioned on here. The manager said that if you go for straight off the sheet then there are no real issues, but things like pano sunroof will easily be 6-8 months at the moment

My order which I placed in Dec 2015. This was for an L&K with lots of extras including the sunroof has only just got a unconfirmed build date this week of week 20 which is mid May! So likely to see the car in June.

So 6-8 months is realistic based on my experience

I went almost straight off the sheet only spare wheel, boot net programme and towbar, and so far I have been waiting 15 weeks so far and still unconfirmed week 7.

6-8 months? That's escalated somewhat. My current company car lease runs out early August, so maybe I should order very soon.

My lead time is 11,5 months. Regular L&K.

I'm a little confused as to how long I've been waiting as a I placed the order in late September, then put it on hold while waiting to see what was going to happen with the emissions scandal and then "released" it in October. So about 3 months-ish to pickup including a 2 week holiday  (I could have had it as early as Friday). That's an SE Business with minor extras (metallic, Canton) and fugly wheels.

"confused" is the word.

I ordered mine on Oct 6th and don't even have a confirmed build week yet!

Ordered my se l on 28/11/2015 it's on it's way I've spoke to my dealer said I would like it on 16 plate he said no problem 12 weeks and 1 day . happy days my dealer rings every week

What is a lead time?

Lucky you!

What is a lead time?

The time between placing the order and taking delivery of the car.

The time between ordering and receiving.

If you don't mind me asking what spec have you gone for?
