The wait was suggested by the dealer first. My assumption is to help play with sales figures? I did want it a asap to be fair as borrowing discovery off family until mine was ready. It's costing a fortune to run. Any how, have to give the disco back in Feb so dealer offered to loan me car to allow me to wait till March. Most appreciated, seems win win for all. Dealer has been good from point of order, will be writing review once car collected on them.

Do you mind me asking which dealer this is? I believe you're in Norfolk like me so curious if you're using Robinsons or someone else!

Chap at Robinsons has been good so far, just wondering if I'll get the offer of delaying as my car was BW1 and is currently en route. Prefer not but if I get offered a courtesy car...

Yep I said it. This is what i was told by my dealer which got this from the factory. Basically they are grouping orders together based on spec and they have said that the L&K's will be built around week 11. I think this might have something to do also with the issue with supplies of the standard L&K 18" Alloys which won't be available until week 11.

I asked if I changed the spec of my car would this improve things but they said that my order might get pushed to the back of the queue. So I am going to sit tight

Just had a phone call to say that car has gone from build week 16 to build week 8, another customer at the dealership has gone from 19 to 7.  Both of us have L&K's with 18's - only difference is engine.

Skoda UK confirmed that the 19's are now causing delays so it looks like all L&K's will now have problems.  Estates get a double hit apparently with roof bars being a problem.  The guy in the complaints team I was speak with told me that build week 8 is 15th February, I did have him confirm it and he said build week 1 began on the 28th December so hopefully only another 3 weeks of sweating until a confirmed build week.

Interesting skoda are saying week 8 starts 15th Feb according to European diary that is week 7.

SE L 150 Diesel Manual with a few options ordered mid October

So got a confirmed build week today of week 4

Have gone from BW1 to BW2 and then back again

Now settled on BW4

Slowly getting there so maybe end of Feb?

Mines a 190 4x4 L&K estate(combi) so that is probably why mine is further delayed compared to yours. Ho hum...

Was thinking it would be easier if they sent me a part a week and I assembled it myself?

Think I might buy some lottery tickets from skoda might win something one day like a new car.... Yea right back in line sir,

That a side is it really worth keep badgering for up dates I just worrie might cause offence by keep calling dealer weekly to find out as they never ring me.

Don't bother with the dealer. Just ring Skoda UK up and get updates from them.

03330037504 You need your order number.

It's here in the uk, in transit to dealer might have it for the weekend. Can't wait for my first drive of the 1.4 tsi act sel exec hope it lives up to what I have read about it. Getting very excited. Ordered 18th of Sept so I've waited a long time.

Woody3537 trust me you will love it I picked mine up yesterday the superb sel1.4tsi dsg estate, and it has exceeded my expectations! It is a sweet and more than powerful engine. As I said, I picked it up yesterday around 12pm and covered around 110 miles that day. I tried it on various roads i.e. motorway, A road and inclines. I also drove it around the city and it never felt underpowered. I also have a Lexus is300h, and trust me, the superb feels as well screwed together as the Lexus. Indeed, the seats on the superb are more comfortable. The Lexus has a 2.5 litre hybrid engine with 220bhp and the superbs1.4tsi with 150bhp and acceleration wise there does not seem much difference on paper I think it is something like 0.7 of a second in favour of the Lexus, but in the real world you will be hard pushed to feel it. To be honest, I am amazed at how well the 1.4tsi suits the superb ( especially due to its size, and mine is the estate). I will say if you were to ask me what's the superb is like, I would have to reply that it's like a good book you never want to put it down.

Thanks for the comments I just cant wait to get my car and very glad that you are loving your car, I was always a bit concerned that its a small engine in a really big car but from all accounts its a great combination, Also for me I think I will see a big difference in power from my Renault laguna 1.5 tdi to the superb 110 bhp to 150 bhp with the 0-62 being nearly 4 seconds quicker and I will be glad to go back to petrol after a 15 year break, just fed up with DFP problems and engines that sounds like a bag of spanners rattling around under the bonnet, (I know not all diesel engines are the same, so it must just the french ones)

Can anyone tell me what parts(wheels, leather or whatsoever) is causing current delays of production. (regarding what dealer or Skoda UK said)
Sorry for the dumb question, but my dealer here can't confirm build week after 3 months of payment. And still claim white leather is causing the delay...

Latest update today from dealer for my car, has landed at Grimsby and waiting to go to compound.  With a following wind could be with me by the end of the month, though the dealer did say (cautiously) that he'd had the same conversation about order progress with another customer this time last week and their car arrived at the dealership today!

Really need to crack on flogging my Ibiza now!  Price drop imminent...

Went to my dealer today to view the headlining options ( S.W.M.B.O. wanted grey ,Me- Beige ) had a look and decided on beige.  Looked for sales brochure for the Superb -- Non , Octavia-- non and a very restricted range for the other models. I remarked to the salesman about this and the frustration not being able to obtain a sales brochure ( 2016 ) even from S.U.K. -- his reply ,- " how do you think we feel " ! ) What a strange way to run a business !

Mind saying what car and when ordered? Thanks.

It's an 'S' 1.6 TDi 120 hatch, few minor add-ons (cruise control, parking sensors, red paint). Ordered 12th October.  Possibly the only 'S' anyone here has ordered by the looks of things!
