I have columbus radio.bit is possible to get TV free view?

I have the TV and love it. It supplies all the free view channels and where ever you are in the country the local station will be displayed to select.

The arieal on the roof is differently wired and the TV tuner is located in the right hand side of the boot behind the panel which has vent holes. Wiring I am presuming is probably standard for the main lines and just needs to be plugged in or some minor alterations, though the arieal lead is probably not there.

Good point as I forgot to add those units plus others (Kenwood for example) etc.

The TV aerials are in the sideglass on the estate, not sure about the saloon. On my 2012 car, non of the wiring was there, very definitely not just a pug in.

Love one of these, Linni. What was the local cost and was it easy to install?

Wasn`t cheap, 975 euros total with reversing camera. Half of it was installation cost. But I don`t mind, it`s worth every penny.

Installation took one day. Probably the biggest job was fitting aerials into front and back bumpers.

Can I find one on eBay?

Yes it was although tuner itself + 2 bumper aerials + usb + all wiring harnesses were only 245 euros. If you got your hands in a proper place it`s probably half day work to fit it yourself.

camera cost 153 euros and the rest was fitting.

I have Asuka tuner installed:

HD quality, MPEG 2 and MPEG 4, Conax module can be added (paid tv channels), plays video files from USB stick, records tv channels to USB.

Sounds a great addition. Another mod to add to the growing list as funds allow.....saving starts today :) Thanks for posting.

Did columbus have RCA connetion?

They're phono outputs, aren't they? Guess there'll be an adaptor available, and someone far cleverer that I will have proper advise. I can only imagine the quality of the pic will be abysmal with that stick aerial though; they're rubbish at the best of times!

Tv  very handy when swmbo is in the shops.

Snap!

I suffer a little from rheumatoid arthritis and though I'm not too bad, I find it hard to stand for too long whilst SWMBO trawls through the rails at T K Maxx, so she's happy that I can sit in the car and not get bored.

PAssenger compaint: The TV switches off when on the move.

Is there a switch to keep the picture running as well as the sound?

I may be wrong but if you set your Car Country to German the TV stays on all the time ( Local dealer told me )

Disclaimer:- I think

There is a software package avaible under a previous thread that changes the 5 km picture off to 300km per hour but this is highly illegal and could mess up the computers software. A kind person on here did offer me a way of doing it but After thinking about it for quite some time I was not prepared to do it. In reality I did not have the dogs gonads to do it.
