Replacing cracked headlight

Featured Replies

I need to replace the whole headlight because of a big stone chip. Is this a simple DIY job or is it best left to the dealer?

Hyphons is the man to ask about this.

Probably a bumper off job but cannot advise any more

I might need to do this too. Some f***** must have reversed into my car and driven off. Cue a smashed headlight and a dint in the bonnet. I wonder if the dint will pop out or not??

Good chance the dint will push out if it hasn't creased the metal. The steel is so thin.

I'll PM you either tonight or tomorrow with a tutorial, it's literally a 10 minute job and very easy

Take it to a specialist repairman, the dent in my bonnet from the crash I had was hammered out smoothed and then resprayed (needed a respray as the paint had a crack)

May be worth having a copy on Skoda Citigo Technical Guides as well for future generations?

Yeah will be doing so

Weather's pretty poor today so I'll likely do a tutorial tomorrow :)

The weathers still not great so I'll get it done tomorrow now :)

Hurry up! :)

Don't go through too much trouble. :) Even a rough sketch of the procedure will be appreciated!
