Anyone with a one-click? Reviews please

Hello all,

Been away from the forum for a while (moved house and new area has no broadband  ) so glad to be back.

I am thinking of getting an AMD one-click device (my Furby is completely standard) and wondered what those of you who have them think...

Performance? Economy? Smoke? ..... etc etc

Cheers,

Grant

I am interested in the one click, but it is a tad dear :(

I've got a oneclick with the generic map ie no rolling road. It is a brilliant idea and works flawlessly. I've swapped maps back and forth a few times and it's always worked well. The generic map is also very good although I've no idea on the actual power.torque outputs. It's certainly quicker, more responsive and nicer to drive than the OE map and I reckon I'm getting about 2 or 3 mpg more than I was on the OE map. There's very little smoke, it does smoke a bit on full throttle but not during normal driving. I am toying with the next stage which is a rolling road remap loaded onto the Oneclick. AmD quoted me for this but I lost the e-mail so can't give you that info.

:D

Have one here is a link to the rolling road at tsr recently apparently you add 20 - 26 to the figure to give bhp as this is power at the wheels.

So as you can see very happy

One Click = Dual System

So the Dual System works the same as the One Click? Upload, download etc...

*wonders off to see if me can find cheaper alternative*

Might be looking into one-click type system myself, discovered today that revo now offer an OBD ecu remap for the Boxster giving it another 20BHP which I dont think is to bad for a N/A engine. Just need to find

AMD 1 click adds approx 35BHP & approx 45 lb/ft torque, there was a group buy around a year ago and the price came in at

One click is a good option and is great if you don't fancy driving hard all the time, not that I have one of course but if I did it would be smooth and a fairly decent power increase from standard.

Thanks to everyone who has responded

Regarding the group buy idea, im certainly up for that. Therefore if anyone feels it within their organisational capacity to arrange such a venture, please count me in:

AMD one-click group buy

It might be an idea to contact Milford Microsystems direct and see how much they charge.

£500 from awesome (dms dualsytem). Think Star Performance charge around the same. Their was a group buy about a year ago now from amd. Think it was for £350.

I've got a mate with a MK IV Golf TDi 130. Since our engines are essentially the same' date=' would it be practical to buy one unit between us and split the cost?

Coupled with the cost saving involved with a GB (and the peace of mind when reverting the map for service/warrenty etc.) this is looking extremely tempting!

Verr. :)[/quote']

Nope wont work. The first time you plug the PP100 (or whatever name you want to call it) into the ODBII port it downloads a copy of your map along with your engine code which is different on all cars. Or something like that anyway. This then makes the PP100 only work on that car.

Oh, well

I've also looked at the AMD 1 Click - would be interested in a GB if there was a healthy discount....

Count me in ...... i've wanted one of these and would get it sooner rather than later if there was a discount worthy of going over drawn for.

Will

Interested, depending on GB price....

Steve

Could be interested

I would be interested too. I am currently looking at the Dual System from Awesome GTI but that is 499 +vat.

I want a remap that can be reverted to standard for warrenty purposes without having VAG cables and stuff, that is why I am looking at the DMS Dual System. If this can be reverted and I could get it for a good price I would definotly be interested.

Cheers
