VCDS options on Superb III

Featured Replies

Ok thanks, I'll go through the setting again. It hasn't rained much but before, it seemed like a small amount of drizzle would set the wipers going.

You can increase the sensitivity level one notch up to see if they start working. Sometimes they dont start wiping soon enough but after sensitivity is increased they wipe more often then i like so i just increase one or two notch then put it back to where it was for sensitivity.

Thanks - but just so I understand correctly you mean using the slide switch on the wiper control stalk? The one that would otherwise control the intermittent wipe speed? I've tried that at both ends of the range (not quite sure which end makes it more sensitive) but no joy, although to be fair we have only had light drizzle and I've only been driving around town. Need more rain to be sure!

Why not just start the engine, get out of the car and pour a bottle of water on the sensor?

Oops, well in my defence it's my first car with automatic wipers, and cars I have hired with automatic wipers just seem to "work". However I've now realised that the wiper switch has to be in position 1 to get the wipers to work automatically. Doh!

So now it works fine :-)

However I've also noticed that if you start the car in rain, the wipers don't come on until after you start to move which seems a bit odd, since you have to manually give a wipe to clear the screen before you can see enough to move off!

I finally bit the bullet and invested in getting VCDS/ VAGCOM also. I'm just waiting on my new laptop to arrive before I get stuck in. My Question is can I activate TSR in a Style model or did I need to have a certain option fitted at the factory to enable it??

Providing you have the factory fit camera above the rear view mirror then yes you can code TSR.

 ,  for sensitivity,  most left is least and most right is highest setting and yes you need to move the stick 1 position up for auto wipers to activate. otherwise they would start wiping like crazy in car wash.

TSR you can code but not for sure iff this is possible on the 2017 models ( i didn't tryed yet)

There are a few changes on the 2017 modules in codings and adaptions in these cars.

Asking people:

I'm looking for adaptions files and Coding  from module A5/44/09/17/5F/08  of a SuperB 3 2017 model. Iff some one can supply me these i can go futher with comparing to find my problem i got after recoding a S3 2017 model.

thnx

Enriques, could I use this file for this 6D control modules: 5Q0 959 107 J?

Don't do this on this module. Your tailgate will not auto open or close any more when using the

button in the car it only will unlock the tailgate

To enable the Fog lights coming home, which 'coming home' do you select - 'Leuchten, Verbaustatus or Einschaltereigns'??

Some help required here. I have full hot air coming out of my front vents no matter how cold the air con is set.Only noticed it today going in to work as I was doing the coding with just the key turned & no engine running. I changed the ambient lighting colours no problem & had only got as far as the 2nd Controller in activating TSR. ive de-activated the first 2 controllers again but fault is still there. I ran a scan on the car for faults & 3 faults showed up - 01 Engine Malfuntion  (0010), 03 ABS Brake Malfunction (0010) & 5F Information Elect (0010)

anyone know how to fix this??

no faults showing on dash display

I have a 2016 MK2 Tiguan which is closely related to the VCDS coding changes listed here. I have noticed that the 09 controller required to enable rain closing has a different security code compared to what is listed here and the MK7 golf forum.

I wonder if newer Octavia and Superbs will soon see the same controller?

Anyone have any ideas what it might be? its not the 31374 one listed or highlighted in VCDS.

Sorry for my ignorance, but did someone actually post/write a summary of all possible/confirmed VCDS options/hacks for the S3, or did I dream this..?

I just thought I remembered someone keeping a post updated with new, confirmed VCDS options that I could quickly look at - if not I would vote for such a post (or maybe the threadstarter here could update this thread's first post, if possible?)

By all cars (Superb 3) which I activated the lane assistant, after the first warning is deactivated (as by Octavia 3). Does anyone know how to change the settings for Superb 3 (I think this is about parameterization unit A5 - Front camera).
