So that’s 310bhp without the WMI? Are you hoping for a tad more power with it or is it a safety measure?

It’ll give it more, but more for cooling things down especially on track.

Be interesting to see what power it makes on a cooler day with WMI.

Ill keep a look out for any RR days.

Makes sense, the safety side is the reason I’m running it.

Even so, with 300+ bhp it’s going to be a right ripper on track!!

Yeah it sure will be, be interesting to compare times on track. Places like bedford where its higher speeds i imagine it’ll be alot quicker lap times.

Yeah safety for running higher power, all temps drop so win win. Where are you injecting yours?

Just read this from start to finish- knackered but couldn’t stop. Love the car, fantastic work

Cheers mate

Fairly steady now, just waiting on new front springs as one is snapped and camber topmounts.

It looks the part mate and no one would ever suspect what’s under the bonnet. Think I need to invest in a rarb for mine as it understeers like a pig- that’s with sympathetic cornering, good tyres and coilovers

  • 2 weeks later...

New springs and top mounts arrived so i’ve started on them.

Passenger spring snapped in 2 places.

Gave them all a wipe down, measured up and adjusted for preload. Suprising how easy they adjusted, by hand aswell.

Will finish them off tomorrow.

Yeah, but wasnt sure how much strength there was in the top hat bit.

if i chopped it off there would only be 10mm at most between bolt holes and the edge.

Yeah I guess it was designed that way for a reason.

Suspension fitted to strut tops now, perfect for adjustment. Had to elongate the three holes a few mm, on the drivers side i caught the freshly fainted strut top with the bloody die grinder

Suspension back together, just need to fit droplinks. I’ve bought Ford Mondeo/Puma drop links but unsure how to set up the length they need to be.. so ill tackle that tomorrow.

Removed brakes, pistons all free and all in good condition so i’m gonna wait till winter to strip them down. New ‘J’ hook discs to hopefully stop the pad deposit and new DS2500 pads.

Removed and cleaned up the studs whilst there.

All back together.

Set about fixing the seats, since i got them they had ali moubts which along with the runners squeeked and moved around alot.

20mm box made up proper mounts.

Ill get better pics once i’ve put the seats back on, waiting for paint to dry.
