Slowly been putting it back together, MOT booked for 10th May.

Boost pipes fitted, ECU sent away for a tweak to the map for the BBT K300 turbo and 3" MAF.

Once MOT is done I'm getting my charge pipe re-done in aluminum and made to fit the car, so the TrackSlag stainless steel one will be going.

Full strip interior wise and paint the cage, only been 2 years

 

Just rebuilt the fuel pump with an upgraded 265 L/hr @ 3 Bar pump, so i'll have the supply there for more power once mapped properly. Few pics..

Black.. so no

Pulled my finger out and cracked on with some jobs ready for mapping.

Roll cage painted, only took me 2+ years. 

AEM v2 WMI kit, halfway through install just need to make a 1/8” boss for boost pipe.

When this is finally back on the road and out at Blyton, let me know and i'l come down!

Got the pump, pump wiring and level switch wired up today.

Ran the wires and pipe inside plastic trunking to stop any damage and looks neat.

Pipes finished, all good to be put back together now.

Finished the WMI install, just need to hoover out the car and refit the seats.

Fitted a blue LED into my gauges, shows up fault codes and also as the pump ramps up it gets brighter to show its working.

About a 40/60 so more water.

i’ve mixed first lot about 50/50, but if i weighed it out to do it its about 45/55 kinda area.

Finished off today and all back together. Hopefully all is ok tomorrow for mapping. 

Replaced the standard fuel lines as they ran too close to the charge pipe. Went to the scrappy for a new fitting as i broke it

 

Some of the gauge and WMI controller. I’m going to make up a centre console with some switches, usb etc etc on it so this is just temp.

 

Well yesterday was a very very long day.

Set off at 5.30 and didn’t get back home until 22.50. 550 mile round trip from Scu nthorpe to Portsmouth to go see Ben Parsons at Devil Developments.

 

As soon as we got the car off the truck we set about changing injectors, 550cc units from a Ford F50 pickup. 

This is where the first problem started.. because i’m using a VW Sharan inlet manifold and fuel rail i needed a longer injector. The fuel rail was sitting on its mounts before the O rings had sealed.

Luckily Ben can TIG weld, so he chopped the stainless brackets off the fuel rail, shortened by 2mm and welded them back on.

A base map was then loaded on and car out on the rolling road. Did a run with the N75 unplugged so it ran actuator pressure ~11 psi to check the strength of it. This ran 210BHP!!!

then N75 plugged in and Ben worked hos magic, in the mean tim my WMI stopped working.

Totally my fault, the permanant 12V to the controller i had wired from the fuse box had a 5A fuse.. not enough for the pump when on full chat. Something i only realised on the way home 

 

So with a ambient temperature of 29.8*C, no WMI we wasn’t expecting high figures. Once all tweaking was done, one final run to see it all come together.... 310 BHP 320 Ft/lb

Took it for a quick spin and its very impressive!!

Looking forward to getting back out on track with it now, just a few bits to sort then i’ll be looking to book a track day before my annual ‘ring trip in September.
