Regular or Nitrogen :p

Nitrogen, or "Super un-Carboned 99 Ox"

Off topic, yep, but is there really any benefit to using nitrogen over full fat air (other than lining the pockets of those who are supplying the nitrogen) ?

Mike

None what so ever Mike :)

Added some DRL's

Removed the plastic grills, stuck the rubber type LED's on and added two Tie-wraps for security.

Plugged them into a ignition on circuit and job done.

That looks good. Very OEM

Bogall benefit unless you are either a "top tier" international circuit racing driver - ie mr. Hamilton and his buddies,

Or, could do with droppimg extra cash around the place due to havimg too much it :D

They often drive Fab HTPs iirc ;).

Nah. No difference. Bugger all. Nout.

The biggest difference is the right pressure (:

Washed them both and finally fitted the winter wheels to the Superb

drove it to work :(

Bought some headlight bulbs for it. Will fit them some time. Also put some liquid in the back end as the light came on on my way back from work yesterday.

Finally fitted the seats I got from wardy. When I say finally, I've had them since March.

Washed it, then took the back right wheel off, tried to remove the break drum and then put the wheel back on. Break drum wouldn't even twitch. The one on the HTP came off fairly easily with a couple of screwdrivers as leverage and a few good hits with a mallet but not this one. It was spinning freely before you ask. And I cut and fitted a new drivers floor mat and returned the passenger one to its correct side.

Then I removed the fog light out of the old bumper and found it has a small-ish hole in the back and a clip has slightly broken off. I think it'll do for spares and repairs though as they steam up anyway and that clip doesn't matter much. Tried to remove the splitter, and I can say this... If you're thinking of steeling a splitter off a Monte, go home, don't even bother. Them things are well and truly bonded on! So I'm going to have to go back to plan A and cut the bumper off from behind it. Unless someone shouts out that they need a bumper for a red Monte and don't mind it being a bit f****d. But I doubt that will happen.

Realised the passenger side headlight motor has started working fine again... Typical now that I've sourced a replacement headlight unit but it at least saves me part of a job so now I only need to replace the knackered sidelight leds with the new ones I've had on a shelf for ages.

Ever wished you could make something genuinely usefull with your old toys? I made some painting racks for my calipers and carriers.

Old red Vs new:

I also did this to the old front bumper:

And got the little black bit separated so if you want the little black thing it's in the for sale section. Next jobs are more paint on the calipers and separate the splitter.

Thanks :D The bumper butchery was because to get a knife in between the splitter and bumper was going to be a right pain in the backside without cutting along the top of the splitter, it also got rid of all the bulk making it easier to handle. And I couldn't be bothered burning it so it also made it fit in the weelie bin better.

Forgot about this thread!

Hmm.. so after the Yeti Leather MFSW in the Fab, i needed a decent headunit. So tried a Columbus.. then put it up for sale again.. and then fitted a Zenec ZE2015. Its fantastic!!

Sorry about the crap quality! Need to get some in daylight really.

I got both the Octy and the 'Go hoovered out between showers yesterday.. next phase is getting in there with some serious cleaning gear. May get the octy tomorrow while little guy is napping - the monitor is in range of the drive way, and swmbo has an appointment in the am :D

see how the weathers looking.. may go on a trip to the jet wash later in the week..

dropping the octy for the bearing replacement tomorrow evening.. it be with my mech til wednesday night, as hes stripping it down tomorrow night, bringing the hub to work with him on wed to press the bearing, and reassemble wed after work. I love having the service manager of my local skoda dealer as my out of hours indy mechanic :D

Saturday I pulled the front apart and fitted new intercooler and air con condenser.

Finished the job off today because I neglected to order new seals for the boost pipes and one of the old ones had stretched and wouldn't go back together.

Then took it for an MOT this afternoon - passed with no advisories :)

And back together

Changed the n/s dip beam bulb as it blew on Sunday.

Still cannot get the headlight out so instead I removed the fuse box cover, wriggled my hand through and managed to change the bulb. Then popped some fuel in and drove it around for 10 miles to clear as much condensation as I could.

Took it to the dealers. Actually walked out of there with a set of new lock nuts! And it hasn't quite been three months yet, amazing!

Nothing myself, but the bearing change is done.

95e inc parts and labour  happy days

Today was eco day for me where I resisted the urge to drive hard or fast... eco days are the worst days however tomorrow I have some fun country lanes to fling down and I will be enjoying the noise of the exhaust popping and banging under me.

I also received the cheque today for the damage on my rear bumper that my neighbour caused just before christmas.

Today (well yesterday) I had a lesson in how dogbone mounts work, what happens when they fail, and what to do when the the bolts snap off leaving the mount fused in place by 12 years of corrosion and neglect.

I also swore at it a lot, bled on it a bit, changed the lightbulbs to Osram nighbreaker ultimate, replaced the temporary front badge from BMW to Wolfsberg, gave a partial heat treatment to bumper plastics (ran out of gas) then went for a short drive to validate my days work... The day ended well  :nerd: <- I love that creepy smiley!  :D

Collected the octy. So nice to drive it withoit the constant buzz from the bearing getting on me nerves! Needs an wheel allignment thougj, so thatll be tomorrow/ saturday if i can!
