Always seemed such a nice guy when interviewed on TV, unlike some of his fellow competitors.

RIP - a sad loss. I heard about it on News 24 while queuing in the bank this morning, brought a big lump to the throat.

Burns having passed away is now also spreading as news. It is a sad loss for sure, and although I havent been able to watch any rallying for a while now, when I did he was definitely great entertainment to watch

He'll be remembered for the right things, which is a good thing. Condolences to the family/friends.

Only found out about Richard this morning reading one of my work colleaques 'Guardian' newspaper.

Came as a bit of shock I must admit, 34 is no age to go.

Like you all my thoughts are with his nearest and dearest.

A real loss - I met him at a couple of GB rally's and he seemed a top bloke. Always willing to have a chat, unlike Carlos!

I have a regular donation to cancer research through my work's 'give as you earn' scheme and I hope that it plays a small part in finding a cure for what is a terrible disease...

It inspired me enough to get in my '01 tuned up Scooby WRC car on GT4 and win the final Grand Canyon rally on "hard", something I'd been struggling with, and then wipe the floor with Rally Swiss Alps, also on "hard"
