VW Emissions Scandal Thread V2

Featured Replies

Just a matter of time until someone wins a court case or VW does out of court deals in Europe and then the flood gates will open.

And if this weekends news reports are correct Martin Winterkorn looks like he has now been hang out to drive by the VW Board.

If people were really smart they'd ban big cities. They're the cause of all these problems.

Have Autocar not got the story yet on the action being raised by Luxembourg?

How can anyone keep up with all the legal cases against VW, criminal and civil?.

Really you just need to type VW into a search engine and they are there, but more often it needs to be VW SCANDAL

because as soon as new news articles about any actions against VW are on the first page of google VW have the team that

hype something like the EV Camper or the New 'FACE LIFT' Golf or the likes all over the net knocking the breaking stories off the top.

Lots of press releases covering VW Friendly stories and Motoring Magazines lapping up Reviews of nothing special from the VW Group.

"THE GOLF WILL BE EVEN CHEAPER"

So many launches of new VW's and stories of how Green VW will become, how the Age of Downsizing is over etc,

not so much on how well they are doing with 'THe Fix' in Europe or not really as there are growing numbers unhappy after having 'TheFix;.

If you need a VW Story on page one of a google search hype the Electric Micro Bus.  Maybe VW should build and sell them!

Do others  find posting a reply to other posts has become very difficult now, I certainly do. Why  persons muck about  with systems that are working I find frustrating.  What I tried to say before is it should be a simple matter to prove if Piech told his fellow Directors of what had been going on with the " misleading software "  by consulting the Minutes of the Board meeting.

Just in case anybody missed this and with Geneva coming up soon......

VW Board member says it is a perfect car (what an arrogant twonk)

Not as good as putting all the Nazi golf balls at Donald Trumps feet but pretty good IMO.

Jonathan Browning that was head of VW USA 2010-2013 & after having worked for Ford & GM in senior positions, that was him taking over from Stefan Jacoby who was head of VW North America & is now head of GM Global.

Anyway the point is that Jonathon Browning knew nothing, was a Senior VW Employee (most senior in the USA) and VW car owner and was suffering from the VW Group 3 Monkey Syndrome.

So perfect for his new role as 'Head of British Cycling'.   Hear, see & say nothing',  have a full investigation and find nothing.

(& Sir Bradley Wiggins is a perfect Ambassador for Skoda, a VW Company. Not running at top performance but a little 'Fix' and all was well, nothing illegal obviously and nothing to see, move along now.)

EDIT.

A while since the position at Jaguar when Ford owned them, and the more recent VOLKSWAGEN GROUP Employers seem more relevant,

but lets just gloss over that.

But facts are facts, lets see if he is so keen to visit the USA in the near future, if he is required to.

Does the buck never stop at the person in charge?

Well, I've tracked down the VAG triumvirate:

Graffiti detail. Source

What's the prize ?

Perfect.

But now the 'Family of cheeky monkeys' are no longer doing the 3 Monkeys.

The former Boss is saying he knew and was told by others that knew, and the VW Board / 'The Management' are saying he is a liar.

So no Honour amongst thieves, they are negotiating their deals and 'Whistle blowers' are hoping to be dealt with gently.

A parcel of rogues it seems who will stab each other in the back as quick as they are prepared to rip off customers, governments and various suppliers and employees.

Paul Willis, MD of VW Group UK, up before Transport Select Committee today.

He must be quaking in his lederhosen.

Probable penalty, 50 lines: " I must not tell porkies "

Let's hear your appropriate penalties.

There is now zero reason to have the fix in the UK: “That is our position, that the cars weren’t fitted with defeat devices. Some people don’t necessarily agree with us, and so, therefore, to remove any doubt whatsoever, that is why we are applying the technical measures.”

Surely Paul Willis has the numbers totally correct on how many have had The Fix, those that have been in and the work done,

not just those that there have been communications with.

20,000 a week is a very very impressive figure if that is the current number and not an average since things began.

No way in the world a VW Employee would go and mis-lead a Transport Committee like the Engineer they had in giving evidence previously.

Odd if you google  & google images

Paul Willis VW

how there is a mix of pictures and stories about one CEO going and the new one that came in and Nissan etc.

? Would the real Paul Willis please identify himself or are there more than one!

Anyway they are just Sales Guys / Fall Guys and just know what they are told.

There must be a time when International Arrest Warrants are issued for the most senior people at the head of the conspiracy to defraud and then to order the cover up and destroying evidence.

Or have the VW Group paid enough yet to save that happening and VW Board and managements being unable to travel around the world and in and out of the United States.?

Demanding sales targets are met ought to be a chargeable offence.

They wouldn't be so gung-ho then.
