If people were really smart they'd ban big cities. They're the cause of all these problems.

They could produce and publish the power and torque graphs post mod.

Well?.

Why trust VAG after all this time?

A two year "fix" (codge) warranty is insufficient for me to allow them to ruin my car.

I wonder when VW Group Employees and Ex Employees will be arrested in Europe for alleged crimes committed in Europe & not just on behalf of the USA.

WATCHDOG this week featuring the fix/fail problems with Vag Diesel engines, might be interesting!

Banking is a much safer profession, we now know.

They are still playing it in the media that the 'management' were told about it just weeks before and the top brass had no idea before that and were not the ones that had the Defeat Device introduced to the vehicles.

Tonight's episode of Watchdog didn't do VW any favours.

They are adamant that the emissions fix is not having any adverse affects on other elements of the car in terms of component reliability.

I am looking forward to the day that they are proven wrong.

Any publicity is good publicity, no doubt the VW Board will be talking to VW UK CEO Paul Willis telling what a sterling job he is doing and offering a bonus and possible promotion.....

Lol. So you're promoting VW Group subtly; by slagging them off incessantly. :)

A balance from those defending them as the greatest most honest organisation that had a little issue and that were sorting it all out,

ie fanboys.

Any noticeable problems with your Skodas (VW)?

Millions lost their shirt when ratings agencies were coopted by bankers to tell porkies and the bank chiefs ended up with bonuses paid for by the tax payer. Not one went to jail. Engineers it seems will however ......and for something unnoticed by the public.

The lesson - wear a suit?.

I signed the forms asking for my car to not have the emissions fix applied last year which were sent to Skoda UK.

Not that it did any good, the car was in for a brake fluid change and MOT yesterday, when I dropped it off and before I could ask the girl on reception to add my request to the job sheet she said the fix was down to be done.

Before I'd handed the key's over she'd ripped up the emission fix sheet, written in capital letters on the job sheet 'DO NOT APPLY EMISSIONS FIX' and spoken to the mechanic personally :D

Funnily enough my car still drives like a dream.

Just a thought:

Emissions Fix. How would we stand with 3rd party mechanical warranty after having the fix and the EGR drops it's guts?

Emissions measuring. Watching Tour de France, I idly wondered what the result would be if measuring equipment was installed in one of the course cars  - the commisaires' would be a good one. That would be 'real road' use, even if the speeds are a little higher than most of us indulge in!

Probably as VW Group currently deal with 3rd party warranty providers and VW Group engines with Fundamental Design & Manufacturing faults, component failures from poor QC etc.

They do adeal with the Warranty Provider, supply parts, contribute to costs because they do not want Independent Engineers Reports in a UK Court of law, or in the public domain.

As it is the VW Group '2 year sort of Post Fix Warranty' should assist VW Group in meaning owners do not need to claim from 3rd party Warranty Underwriters until

2019.  Well if Dealerships employees keep the party line...

The moment she does that, Germany will kick us out.

Result, and at virtually no cost!
