I tried to update my bolero to 0490. Update failed and gave me error. My unit was stuck on software update until battery ran out. 

 

Now the unit is dead. Backlight turns on for a second when i press powerbutton but otherwise nothing. 

I can access the module 5F on vcds. Just software version missmatch on faultcodes. i think update got to point 4/17 then it failed.

 

Anything i can do expect visiting dealer ? or is the unit dead anyway ?

Where from should i download software for my octavia 2016 bolero headunit?

Hello, I am sorry if I make mistake by posting on this subject (rather opening new one) but I have question about Bolero.

I have 7/2015 Skoda Octavia with I believe Bolero MIB2 (No slot for CD and larger display). I have an opportunity to fair price to buy genuine Octavia device with Navi. Available pictures are bellow.

I'm a brand new owner of a Skoda Octavia III, which comes with the famous SmartLink. On the Skoda portal, we are notify that iPhone X phones can connect to the Bolero infotainment.

Well, I use an XS iPhone and I can't connect to my Bolero infotainment . It works on iPhone 7 and I wanted to ask you if there is an update, for the lates version - if there is the case. In this respect, could you be so kind (if there is an update), and please send / share it to me . Much appreciated

I have a problem with my infotaiment (0421, 5E0035919A). Suddenly, station logos do not show.  I tried with factory reset, uploaded few station logos again, but nothing.  It looks like the are there but the device can not show them. Same happened with pictures of my contacts with my phone is connected over BT., they don't show.

 

Any idea what is happening? I tried with changing some settings but  nothing. Maybe it has nothing to do with this, but I have noticed that logos deseparead after car service.

@den007There doesn't seem much availability of these updates, however i asked in a facebook group a few months ago and got told that the software versions are specific within each sub-version - i.e. v.0171 can only be updated with soft v.01xx, my old MIB2 v.0245 could only be upgraded with v.02xx, etc. Not sure if this is accurate but i never found the update file for my old MIB2 regardless.
