Geoff,

not time limited or number limited (although probably number would be limited to 1 or 2 of any one fitting day).

Just waiting for Colin's and Ian's input on this before I tell all.

Cheers.

Adrian.

Well done, K! And having done one, am I correct in saying you aren't about to do any more without eye-watering financial compensation given the time and difficulty involved in dismantling the steering column and major sections of the dash? thinks.gif

yes thats an affirmative :D

I'd be interested but I assume with my cable throttle (AGU), it's a no-no? K?

my octy to be is a 99 model so i presume has the cable throttle so would i get cruise to fit in my car as well?

the salesman said the garage could get it retro fitted elsewhere so i presume is possible???

Adrian, what about CC for a Superb, mines a Classic TDi 130 which doesn't have CC as standard. I used to have CC on my last car and I used it all the time.

I've driven a couple of Octavias and as far as I can see, the stalks were the same.

Vince

The 'kit' in question is for drive by wire cars only since it is wired into the ECU which then controls the electronic throttle. The same cannot work for throttle cable cars since there would need to be some form of actuator in the system which operates on the throttle cable/throttle body. Is that right, K?

The Superb does not use the same CC stalk as the Octavia so I guess more investigation would be needed on that and to find out if a wiring loom is available and whether the car is pre-wired for CC in the engine bay.

will get back to you guys on both cable throttle and superb.

Sorry All for the delay on sending out details on this.....waiting to get "nod" from Colin/Ian.

Does anyone know if Colin is on holiday?

Ian,

any thoughts on this or do you want to discuss with Colin?

No probs.

Cheers.

Adrian.

p.s Ian/Colin - you have PM.

Hey Discount King!!

How is the Cruise control going? Can let me know about the price? I might be able to get some of the Singapore Octy to owners to buy. But might need the installation instructions.

BTW, would you know where i can get the service/repair manual??

Adrian, Colin is on hols.

Cheers Ian.

Here's the deal: The Briskoda Curise Control Package.

All parts and fitting:

I might be interested too, as I do a lot of motorway driving. More interested from a fuel saving perspective.

Does anyone that has cruise notice any benefits from the fuel saving angle??:) :)

I've had several cars with cruise, and it definitely has an affect on economy on the motorway. The L&K I had was no

different in that respect.

Phil

My dealer's currently looking into it from the instructions posted here - they're just checking with Skoda UK to see if it will have a detrimental effect on my warranty. Will keep y'all posted !

In a word yes, if you use the cruise a lot you should see an increase in mpg - I'm not saying it'll be vast but you will notice it.

The thing you will really notice is how people cannot keep to a constant speed even on the flat, never mind up / down hills.

(I haven't got cruise in the Superb YET, but my experiences with cruise come from my previous car).

Adrian, K -

I've PM'ed you.

klb i've pm'ed you back
