What is your Maxi dot most displayed option?

Featured Replies

I thought people have said it only shows if you are on variable servicing, but it can be turned on via VCDS ;)

-are you on fixed servicing?

My RS is on 15,000km servicing interval and shows oil temp....

Oil temp. Always Just to known when the fun can begin and occasionally when to back off. Regards T

  • Oil temperature or GPS. When above 95°C, I sometimes switch to average consumption. I can get the speed on the screen of the speed cam warning device driving assistant tool.

Thanks for the replies colour it is, I have the colour on the golf and it seems almost everything is displayed in black and white but I'm assuming there's extra functionality beyond not being totally monochrome.

Is oil temp only on the vRS? I can't see it on mine! What menu is it in?

On mine (l&k) I had to enable it in the infotainment. In there somewhere is a menu where you can choose what info is availble in the maxidot.

Current/average consumption and temperature (to avoid revving on cold oil); media/radio sometimes.

Cheers Gromle, will have a look later

You're right... I totally forgot about this. I randomly came across this setting in the Infotainment and disabled the things I know I'm never going to need. Very useful!

Thanks - didn't know about this. Couldn't find oil temp on my new vRS TDI, so I thought maybe it was different for the Swedish market. Will dig around in the infotainment settings.

Current speed for me.

Current speed and oil temperature and if I am stuck in traffic I tend to have a flick through all of the settings.

Current speed. Much clearer than reading an analogue speedometer. Occasionally switch to fuel consumption from start briefly then return to current speed

Instant consumption most of the time. Assistive systems display when using the ACC, navigation display when in an unfamiliar area and sometimes the audio display when I'm using the Columbus to display other information.

MPH, with the occasional Oil Temp check when I have been itching to plant the right foot.

Speed and Oil Temperature are my most commonly used functions as well.

Sorry to take this slightly off topic, but I don't have the MFSW with mine, however when I get a call it shows the caller on the maxi-dot and I can answer it using the trip computer stalk.

Is there way I can get media info on the display as well, or will that only be on cars with the MFSW?

Phone and Nav mostly.

MPH & oil temperature
