Whats -10 ?

In the North it's classed as 'Bracing', but in MouthySouthyLand, it's classed as a National Emergency.

And during the once in a millenium occurrance in the southern half of ireland it occurs its a national humanitarian crisis - once it reaches the dublin commuter belt...

We had a frost last night about the second one in months. And two days ago I saw a butterfly fluttering around in the garden, very mild for the time of year here.

Whatever's the cheapest.

Likewise - usually Asda stuff, mixed 50/50 in the summer and neat in winter, with a dollop of cheap and nasty ( less foam than the better ones) washing up liquid to cope with oil smears. At one time I used what the rally bods used -CLEARALEX, but it seems to have disappeared . Again mixed( and it had to be well mixed as it came in powder form) in double recommended strength with a touch of cheapo washing up liquid. In winter  I added some meths to company car bottle  .I've always wondered why car makers have not got round to fitting some form of heater to wash bottles, though TBH in Midlands winters i've had the washers thaw out long before y heater gets going.

I dunno what happened Clearalex! Used it in my younger days as thats what my dad used, then it just vanished. Went a spell of using a small amount of dishwasher powder, until the good ones went all tablets, and the loose powder went crap - cloudy and streaky on the glass. Also not great as antifreeze in the washer.

Descosol Clearalex XP100 Concentrate 100 ml £3.31,   & other Clearalex products available if you check on 'Amazon'.

Aldi for me, £1.99 for 5 litres & it still hasn't frozen. We had -12 deg last week overnight here in the frozen north & it was still liquid.

An old trick I had many moons ago when rallying Minis, the originals, not today's modern pastiche, was to use a much larger bottle inside the car with a big pump & then run the supply  to small bore pipes ty-rapped to the wiper arms with the pipe ends sealed off, loads of 1mm holes drilled so they would aim the washer fluid directly onto the screen, but en route, wrap the pipe 5 or 6 times around the radiator top hose & voila, hot water directly onto the screen. Not sure if that's possible any more, difficult to find the washer pump & pipes to front & rear screens, let alone find & re-route lengths of small bore pipe.

Cheers.
