Used car: 1.2TSI 63kW or 1.6 TDI CR 66kW?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm still looking for the right used car to buy. Now I'm looking at two Roomsters, about the same age (2012), same mileage, same price, same trim level. One has the 1.2TSI, the other the 1.6TDI. As the price is the same but the TDI is normally more expensive, I think it's a better deal, but I'm not sure.

The fuel economy should be good for both, anyway I plan to drive about 10000km/year, with some highways. There will be some savings with the diesel, but probably higher maintenance costs. The 3kW difference doesn't really matter for me, I'm more interested in reliability, safety and trouble-free driving.

Which is, in your opinion, the better deal?

Thank you!

Thank you. Do the 1.6 TDI come with a DPF filter? Is it prone to problems?
