Exceptional VRS for sale - Awesome condition and mind blowing performance

Featured Replies

The time has come for me to sell my VRS project and let someone else take on my epic car.

Headline numbers - 345bhp verified on Shark dyno and 500nm of Torque!

I've owned the car since new. The car was first registered in December 2009. Throughout the cars life I have taken excellent care of it and began a project to modify it back in 2011. All the modifications have been done by Shark Performance in Mansfield and at every step the car has had mechanical upgrades to support the significant increases in power and performance. A summary of the main modifications is detailed below

  • Cold Induction Kit
  • Full Miltek system resonated
  • K04 Turbo Conversion
  • Addition of a Wagner Intercooler
  • Addition of a Sachs Race Clutch
  • Addition of a Quaife Diff
  • Wastegate Actuator upgrade
  • Diverter Value upgrade
  • Addition of Bilstein B12 kit
  • Addition of Full Polybushing
  • Addition of Porsche Front Callipers
  • Uprated Disks and Pads
  • Shark Performance Stage 3 map and beyond
  • Addition of a brand new Golf GTI steering wheel with Golf R Badge
  • Addition of a Columbus Navigation system inclusive of full hands-free Bluetooth preparation which functions with the GTI steering wheel
  • 2 sets of Alloys – Borbet 18” Alloys with brand new Vredestein Ultrac Vorti Tyres for Summer (less than 100 miles) and 18” original Zenith VRS alloys with Vredestein Xtreme Winter tyres
  • Thule Roof Rack System

The car has just under 98,000 miles on the clock but the engine and all the mechanical and performance enhancements were done after 48,000 miles when the engine was changed by Skoda under warranty due to a know issue with a Cam Chain Tensioner pulley that failed. Thus all the major mechanical componentry of the car has done less than 50,000 miles. The car is in amazing condition and totally mechanically sound. I have full service history and all invoices from Shark for all work done. The car has only ever been touched by Shark since I began the project.

The car is simply amazing to drive. It's not only an immensely practical family car for day to day purposes, comfortable motorway cruiser but it's also essentially a touring car built for the track. The car can deliver over 40mpg on long runs and consistently manages an average of 33mpg on combined driving which isn't bad considering it has 345bhp+ at its disposal.

I'll be gutted to see the car go but I know that somebody else will be better placed to enjoy and further develop it than I now am.

As you will see from the thumbnails below then the car is in immaculate condition and the performance is off the scale...see the sweep test graphic. My new 335d m sport is boring and pedestrian in comparison I'm sad to say!

I'm looking for the right buyer for the car. No shortcuts have been taken in the project and I'm only interested in hearing from genuine enthusiasts who have a serious interest in purchasing the car.

I'm looking for £11,750 ono.

You seriously will not find another car like this for sale anywhere in the condition that it is.

I look forward to hearing from interested parties! Thumbnails below. Email with any questions.

Thanks

Andy

Hi

Thanks for taking the time to review. The MOT is valid until the end of Nov 2016. Yes all the buttons are functional.

Cheers

Thanks to anyone who has taken the time to review the Ad\Thread. I don't think I've correctly conveyed what this car offers to any potential interested parties. From the point I embarked on the project the car has been modified with performance and supporting mechanical upgrades together at each stage to ensure the car was correctly configured to support the increases in power and performance. The result is a car with both performance and reliability that outstrips pretty much everything but looks understated and is am amazingly practical family car too. The upgrades to the car (all new) cost thousands and many of the components still have a high market resale value. I don't want to break the car apart, I simply want to find a buyer who understands what is on offer and can save themselves all the cost and time of doing their own project.

In recognition of that I'm going to reduce the price I'm looking for down to £10,500 and hope someone see's the unique chance that is on offer here

GLWTS. That is one impressively spec'd VRS. Wish I had the money!
