Blue puff on start up

Recommended Posts

Mr. catalytic and sensors don't like oil, but goes it so goes it...

Blue smoke when driving is much worse. If so it is time to a check.

I've also noticed this, I'm due a service so I just assumed that it was old oil, but then I know very little about these things. So if this happens after the service, there's nothing to worry about then?

Sorry to bump an old thread lads but mines done it since I've owned it, on cold starts its a very very slight with mainly black which then goes when warmed up, when driving its clean and on boost hardly smokes black at all

Pretty much. As said above; blue smoke on boost or acceleration is something that needs inspecting. A little puff of blue on cold startup is not a problem.
