Are your discs are on the wrong side? The internal vanes look like they're facing the wrong way

Good question, but as far as I was aware, if the vanes are straight, it makes no odds as to which way they do go, some have them facing forward, others facing rear, I found the below online which hopefully makes some form of sense :D

- If the supplier's instructions elude to the need to throw dirt/water/heat out and away from the disc then fit this way...

- If the instructions elude to having to have constant airflow to the grooves to aid cooling, then fit this way round...

The grooves on the disc face can be either way. I meant the internal vanes. Looking at your pic they appear to be be grooved rather than straight? It might have been the angle of the photo though

A small update, I've put some parts up for sale for anyone who's interested in a few bits

I've also gutted the rear a little more and taken the passenger seat out so I can get the leather seats up for sale, the cars also now in a garage away from home so it can get off the drive.

I hadn't intended on it :D I was just going to remove the drivers seat, but then decided to remove a little more whilst I had the tools out

Long time no update, rarb fitted, just, kinda..

Those with a keen eye will spot that it's not all quite spot on, nevertheless, it fits (just) and works brilliantly, it might just be self conscious that it feels much better, but it certainly carries itself round the corners at whatever speed you want to throw it into the corner

Got round to swapping out the filter today, this was much needed, its current position probably won't be forever, but the old one was in rubbish condition

Out with the old..

It's a little excessive for the size of the engine, but who am I to complain? :D it sounds a lot happier.

I can also report the rear anti roll bar is superb, it should have been added a long time ago

Decided to mess about and gut the interior a bit more :D

You'll also note the gear knobs changed back to the VW Up! one and I've fitted the passenger bucket seat ready for a track Saturday. I've actually ordered proper bases for them at a whopping cost of just over £300, but they haven't arrived yet, I was hoping they would've arrived today!

Bit of track action from Saturday

Learning the track and following @BJB540 for a while

And a couple of good runs in the afternoon

And then I had a bit of a moment on the last session of the day

Having removed near enough all the trims in the car, I realised I had a new problem, closing the boot without putting my hands on the outside (I'm one of those people who literally can't stand hand prints all over the boot from where it's been shut :dull:).

Cue 1 spare tow strap and a void nut from where the wiper motor used to sit, what do you get? A new handle to pull the boot shut :D

Bit of TLC done over the weekend, you'll remember in this post:

All the wiring dangling about the place, this was for the W8 light and the interior light as well as the dash cam front camera and GPS camera, all that wiring is no more

IMG_20180902_162216.thumb.jpg.f6efc0f6923a100e4e7357276d1a5af0.jpg

Used some cheap sticky back wiring clips to tuck the dashcam wiring out the way as a temporary fix, those with a keen eye will see there's a new dashcam, I finally replaced the absolute rubbish Koonlung front and rear camera with a used DOD RC500S, which is the same one I run in the Fabia

There's a bit of foam in the rear that's used to hold the rear seatbelt wiring in place, I finally got rid of this and took the no going back route of chopping back the rear seat belt wiring itself, this'll eventually be taken back as far as possible.

Before:

After:

IMG_20180902_174830.thumb.jpg.85da9fc42805b5a5fea58e8096fb520b.jpg

You can also see the new seat mount on the passenger side that's fitted, I need custom side mounts made up as there an inch shorter than I need them to be.

Last photo for you, you'll spot the stupid and useless tow hook that I added ages ago has finally gone, this'll be replaced with either a strap or a tow eye, probably drilled straight into the rear crash bar, the rear bumper will need to come off for that

Looking tidy

looks good mate, I'm sure ive got a big towing eye somewhere at home...
