I've had quite a few Blue cars, as I love Blue, current car is Deep Blue Pearl which is close to the new vRs Blue, so a change is needed (badly)

Howevre, I'm drawn to the Red / Copper-ish colour as per pic

and I have the Estate version as well

The red colour is actually quite a bright red - they roadtested the vRS estate in red in this weeks AutoExpress. -- Gave it 5 stars

Pahh :thumbdwn: , it looks bronze-ish Red in the pic, if its bright red I'm not interested!

The red estate was on Auto Mundial on Men & Motors, looks well.

Excellent vRS test/review in Evening Argus [brighton] newspaper today. BLUE hatch, rave review, potted history of Skoda/sport etc. Car from Saltdean Garage, vRS's on sale there from Monday. Gives top speed as 149, 0-60 in just over 7. Especially praised road holding, handling, steering, space [boot and cabin]. All good stuff - might sell a few cars!!

But, having seen a blue one and a black one side by side, it just has to be black. Just somehow looks more menacing...

Saw a black one in dealer in Canterbury and IMHO it looked absolutely lousy - admittedly it was filthy, but given that that is the way it'll look most of the time it was most unimpressive. Definitely think the Octy mkI looked better in black than mkII does.

Anyone seen a yellow one yet ;)

I saw a Silver (naff, didn't stand out at all), a Blue (a bit tarty - disappointed as the picture on the flyer made it look awesome) and a Black (understated, Q car, menacing) vRS hatch in Slack's in Teesside yesterday. I have pretty much made up my mind to get a black one in the next 2-3 months. Just got to work out what to do with a 9000 mile Fabia vRS with Cruise, Audi TT wheels and JBS 175BHP remap

Milton Keynes "motor show" today. Blue Vrs on display from Pillings.

I liked it. I was expecting it to be lighter. It appears only a shade lighter than my nightfire Superb. So could be back on again?

Agreed - it was a black Mk 1 hatch that drew up alongside me at a filling station that first turned me on to them - even though I got a silver one [less cleaning!!] Didn't like the Mk 1's choice of red or yellow - tomato soup and school dinners custard!

I had Mitchell's demo vRS for the afternoon on Wednesday - what a fantastic car!!

Was well impressed, took it to Betws-y-coed via Ruthin & Bala -- some fab roads down there - and best of all - very little traffic.

Was black as per all dealer demo's and I am glad that I have not chosen the black -- the Mk2 does not seam to suit the black as well as the Mk1

Can't wait to get my car now - oh well only a few more weeks.

I had the pleasure of driving Silbury Skoda's Red replacement on Thursday. "Replacement"? I hear you ask.... Yep, Skoda had to rush a replacement for the one the Sales Manager "bent" when going at 40mph into a gentle bend. Cue much mirth and pi$$ taking from the rest of the sales team and dealership in general. These things happen

First, short (20 mins) impressions... not as immediate as my old Octavia (Jabba'd) or my Fabia (JBS'd) but solid as hell on the road. Very sure footed and gave me shed loads of confidence when I went at a bend at stoopid miles per hour ;)

I will deffo be buying one in the proper (Black) colour as soon as I can get shot of my lovely little gently abused Fabia (any offers?)

All the best to the lucky bandits who have already got their mits on a new vRS... who is going to be first in getting their car remapped/chipped?

Yes it will. Cos it looks fantastic !

Caffyns in Ashford (Kent) have a blue estate in the showroom for

I ordered mine in Blue. Had a black mkIV Golf and that was a pain to clean a looked horrid after 10 miles down a back road. If the blue is mud splattered from back raods then it looks like a rally car.

P.S. I wanted the yellow at first but I need the car now (I've already sold my Primera) and the resale value may be lower in yellow

I have ordered a blue one with 18" alloys and loads of extras.I chose blue because I have an 03 vRS in black which my wife is driving already and the blue is unique to the vRS.The yellow is difficult to resell and looks like a mini cab.The blue looks amazing in the metal!

Hope not cos i just ordered one! Although according to my salesman the car itself is gonna be scarce anyway, so maybe not that common. Then again i do live in the Highlands, do i probably wont see another one for a while!

Was speaking to the sales guys in a dealership in Winchester today and told me that they had sold (so far) 6 in Blue, 2 in Black, 1 in Silver and 0 in Red!. His comments were that he thought the Blue was going to be the most popular choice amongst buyers to the point of being common and that in turn may affect resale values in future, although who knows?. They also commented that Black would be best colour to buy for exclusivity, desirability and depreciation, although I would say that would'nt I :P ;)

Interesting reading all of the comments here. My test drive car was black, and I felt that it didn't suit it, the old one looking alot better. Then.....I saw a silver one on the road. I was instantly overwhelmed, and later the same day, ordered my diamond silver metallic Octavia Vrs. The blue looks fantastic in the brochure, and if it was really like the brochure, I would have had blue. But sadly, it's nowt like the brochure. Still a nice blue, just not nice enough.

I've been driving my blue vRS around since 4th feb and haven't seen another one, so they can't be that common! YET!!

If there is even one flake of snow within 100 miles of Mitchells it can stay there!!

don't want to stuff it 1st time out!!

I only live 10 miles from work - normally 25 mins -- took 2hrs5mins this morning!!

I said to my boss, if I'd picked up the vRS yesterday I would not have even attempted to go in !! -- and he suprised me by saying that if that had happened he would not blame me
