erm, the fabia came in a galant 3rd. when properly launched, the 4X4 took it. heard it from domo himself...

Bengie and I were pretty much even. The Fabia was a long way behind - about the same as Me/Bengie Vs. WRX.

We have lots of videos which, will be uploaded later. The funniest of all is the one from the Fabia in-car camera.

I will say though that the Fabia was amazingly quiet during the free practice session. Just tyre noise as he passed at 90+

Jonny5ive and I both suffered from wheel spin on the change into second and 3rd.

You'll see from my vid that it was close to 90 ish - but then the fabia's house-brick styling let it down in the aero dept. - either that or it ran out of puff.

How much difference did the one-Click make to the Fabia's performance?

It's the torque in the furby, especially when remapped, it gives you a false (to a degree) sense of speed.

I have seen it on scoobynet I think, I was referring to the context of goochies "test"

Octy mullers furby, wrx wagon mullers octy etc etc.

Besides if the sti was being driven by a jessie then an invalid carriage would beat it

Good test. Can't say I'm all that surprised by the result. I remember when I raced my mates Ibiza 1.8T in my Fabia vRS, both cars std, and I got mullered.

All of these people who think a PD130 is faster than a 1.8T 150 are kidding themselves.

Just goes to prove, if you want genuine performance, petrol is STILL the way to go.

:confused: You want to see the Furby get an even bigger spanking?

Actually I reckon a twisty road would help the Furby make up for its lack of top end power, the torque will help power it out of corners, and lets face it, the Octy is hardly the best handling car in the world

I'd put my "SDI" up against a 150 Octy, hell, I'd even give it a go against a remapped one.

As for WRX wagons, my old Octy was quick than them, straight line and on track. STI 5 RA V-Ltd with engine mods beat me though :(
